The learning and classes are good. But the over all “high school experience” honestly kind of sucks. We have no school spirit and our themes or dances are lame and it makes you not want to come to games or activities. I wish our administration and teachers would put more effort into our experience OUTSIDE of the classroom. Because hats honestly what you remember from highschool and it makes me sad that I don’t want to go to big games or whatever because of how lame and boring they are. I WISH TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATION WOULD ENCOURAGE SCHOOL SPIRIT MORE. I would 100% have a better experience and have more fun.

Overall, positive. They provide the tools for children to learn. Three kids through CHS, two college grads and one (senior at Cheney) on the way!

Teachers don't teach with excitement, which make student bored and not wanting to learn anything. That's why so many fail. Look into other schools there's a higher chance of graduation that CHS.

I have never had a worse experience with a school. It is flawed in so many ways, the education sucks all the students are unwelcoming, rude and disrespectful to eachother and the teachers. Many teachers do an awful job at teaching in one of my classes the teacher just tells us to learn it on youtube. Parents if you are considering putting your child in this school please do not. My family moved here over the summer and all the housing being built up is zoned for cheney. The bus is an hour each way and the school is scummy, old, and overcrowded. Several classes are held outside in "portables". Overall I would beg anyone looking into this school not to go and to waiver into another school district or pick a different area to move into.

The school needs work. Teachers need to care more about the students and know what they are teaching in order to be more effective. There are several very good teachers, but the bad ones bring down the overall experience of the school.

This school offers many options to keep the student interested in achieving their potential. Cheney High School is the only school in Spokane county that has a swim team. This year will start an amazing competitive swim team. I would love to win this contest to provide the swim team with money to buy needed equipment. The swim team is the least recognized at this school but has some of the highest achieving students. Swimming requires hours of dedication to achieve a competitive skill level unlike any other sport swimming at the top level requires swimming 5 to 6 days a week for 2 to 3 hours in the water daily. I would rate this school 4/5.

My son went through four years of high school at Cheney and I think had a great experience. The teachers are staff were great. He just graduated high school this year and is now at the local university as a freshman.

I attended thisschool for all fur years of high school, and the teachers were excellent, students were friendly, and the administrative staffd was helpfull and easy to work with if there was a problem that a teacher couldn't help with. I would recomend this school to any person that is in the Cheney area
