I went to this school 10 years ago and it was a complete nightmare. Teachers openly told us they hated teaching. Some told us how much they got paid and would divide that per student (ie $1.10 per student). There were a ton of bullies and never consequences for them. Security guards treated us like prisoners, with unprovoked yelling. This school loves money and football.

Hamilton teachers need to understand what they are hired for, and what their profession entails. Telling kids you hate teaching and you’d rather be somewhere else should get you fired. This along with teachers putting down their students for their beliefs is what Hamilton is all about. Also students face ZERO consequences for their actions both in sports and academics. This is the reason CUSD is losing so many students also. Not a good environment.

My experience has been terrible at this school. Bullying is common and administration refused to take action against real standing issues

A large percentage of the student body are over privileged, over parented kids. We are extremely glad we moved our child out of this school. I don't care how great their test scores are or aren't, the character is off.

Amazing honors and AP courses. Prepares students for college.

Hamilton is the worst school I’ve been to. I used to love going to school until I went there. I now dread everyday and pray that school days go by faster. I will be transferring ASAP.

Hamilton is a very good school. Our daughter got a very good education and was well prepared for college. They have some bullying/hazing issues in the past year that cast the school in a bad light.

This school prepares your child for college. I would say the school does not have a cozy and very protective environment as the number of students is huge. But if your child is determined and dedicated towards education and knows how to survive will do great at this school.

This school provides an Extremely Arrogant environment, from both the students and faculty. A Great deal of disrespect and physical fights constantly occur between students for whatever reason.. Fighting Inside classrooms, on lunch time, at the bus stops, on the bus.. Academically, nothing to brag about! Teachers are not passionate about their profession. Very sad..

The teachers at Hamilton High School are beyond unwelcoming and have absolutely no consideracy. My daughter has a parking permit and she claims that there is a lot of traffic when she comes home from school. Because I am a concerned father, I drove to her school's parking lot to search for a better way out, with less traffic, for my daughter. A softball coach took a picture of my license plate and addressed that if he sees me roaming around the parking lot at any time, he will report me to security. Even after I explained myself, he was still rude and showed no signs of consideracy. I felt very disrespected and unwelcomed.

I am a sophomore and I went to Hamilton last year and I am currently going now. I am switching to Chandler High next year because I am just tired of this school. The academics are okay nothing special. If you are into football then this is the perfect school for you because that is basically the only thing they care about. Security is ridiculous except for Charles he is super chill!! Food was fire until they took away our chick fil a and these awesome cookies and now they just sell gross food!! Everyone is super cliquey and I would definitely say it is hard to make friends. Some people are nice but the majority are all snobby. This school is literally known as a snobby white rich kid football school. The guys are super hot but they are are jerks and everyone is sooo disrespectful and the girls are very caddy and rude. I can't wait until next year so I can go to Chandler!! They have off campus lunch with lots close by and offer the IB program and medical progressions for people looking to go into the medical field like me!! Hamilton is okay but the people are terrible!!

I'm a new student at Hamilton and I hate it here! Ive been yelled at by the same security guard every single day! Racism issue? The teachers expect you to finish 6 pages of HW in each class and a huge book project as well!! Absences are limited to only 5 a WHOLE year!! The crowd in the main hallway is like being at a concert!! Only 5 mins to get to class and if your tardy you get Afterschool Dentention!! I moved to Hamilton to have a better highschool experience and now I have to move again! I hate it here and they don't deserve #1 school in Arizona!!! They treat there students like puppets!! And we only get 30 mins for lunch no way that's enough!! Do not come to this school!!!

the hallways are too crowed, very difficult to get around. the students and staff are very disrespectful. the dress code is absolutely ridiculous. you're allowed to wear the shortest of shorts but when your shoulder is showing, it's dress code. arizona is extremely hot, but that is not excuse to dress like a hooker and get away with it

This school is just straight up awful. It is overpopulated. They security and nurses are rude and disrespectful no matter how nice you are to them. You can't walk through the hall ways without getting body slammed into a wall or into somebody else. You get cussed at in the hallways for no apparent reason at all. So many kids at this school are rascist and people have came up to me before, people I've never even seen, and asked me if they wanted to fight me. For no reason. People hate on you for no reason. There are only some teachers that are nice. The school does NOTHING about bullying. Absolutely NOTHING. This school is the definition of a stereo type. The gym teachers swear at me and do nothing about bullying. This school is just down right terrible. I am a student and I've expirenced these things everyday. So if you don't believe me you don't know what your talking about.

I highly dislike this school. Not only is it way over crowded, but most of the teachers are just plain rude and deprive you of any of your will to learn. On my FIRST DAY at that school i was already told by my biology teacher that he thought i was "stupid" and told me "your never going to graduate." This is coming from a straight A's honors student. For the rest of the quarter in his class he would just sit there and tell us about his day or how dumb we all were. The only good teacher i had was Ms. Butler in geometry because she actually made an effort to help students and have them thrive in her class.Homework wise,we had an average load of homework, but was sometimes hard to complete if you have a rigorous after school schedule like i do. As for friends, i had very few. I am a very sociable person but its hard to be sociable when the people you try talking to just stab you in the back once your not around. My time at Hamilton was really a waste of time for I did not learn anything and was treated with absolutely no respect. I hope you think twice before sending your child to hamilton, I do not want this to happen to any other student because no one deserves this kind of treatment.

In 2013-2014 school year Hamilton remains the #1 rated comprehensive high school in Arizona and earned an A grade for the fourth straight year. Congrats to CUSD and Hamilton High!

This school has way too many kids attending, so it's hard to get involved. And don't even try getting involved in any clubs because they are so disorganized and full of cliques. The officers of the clubs are the one's that choose their friends to join. The dress code is ridiculous, when boys can wear tank tops and girl's can't. Why does it matter if your shoulders are showing. Another issue is the security. Security's job should be to keep people safe. But when really all they do is rat out kids for ridiculous reasons such as dancing in the hallway, having a holey sweatshirt, laughing too "loud", and not having a pass. They also, watch security cameras so they have a reason to take your phone away. Teacher's can either be amazing or horrible. Mostly horrible. Also, if your child is a new student good luck with them finding a true group of real friends. The people here are so fake and will stab you in the back in a heart beat. Also, kids are so cliquey so it is hard to make friends. And this is coming from a very social person. Hamilton only cares about football and half of the assemblies are only geared towards the football team winning. Hamilton is a terrible school..
