We had been a part of the Jacobson family for 6 years, then they hired a new health asst who was incompetent and caused nothing but problems for me. She was allowed to retaliate against me for calling her out on her incompetence and filed unwarranted manadatory reports that were ultimately dismissed, but not without causing immense trauma for me. The principal and district were complicit in their actions when I filed a formal complaint against this employee. The principal avoided having any conversation with me about the situation, protecting her employee. I pulled my children out and enrolled in another school. What a night and day difference. How this health assistant is still employed by the district is beyond me. And if you have special needs children, be prepared to be treated as if you and your children are burdens. I highly recommend taking your kids elsewhere if you could. Several other elementary schools that far exceed Jacobson.

We are very happy with our school family at Jacobson... when we moved from Chicago in 2019.. we did not know what to expect.. we moved to AZ for a better life from weather, community and all around quality of life... Well after a long search for a home and landing in the Ocotillo community, we were blessed to also find an amazing school like Jacobson Elementary.. We are lucky to have administrators and teachers that care for our kids like if they were their own. I encourage everyone to get involved in their schools and remember that our kids are our future and we need to make sure our teacher gets the support and respect they deserve...God Bless Jacobson! GO JETS!!

We came as an expat family to Chandler in 2019 and stayed until May 2021. Our kids had a great time at Jacobson Elementary. The ELD teacher helped the kids (and their family) a lot, as did their lovely classroom teachers (although there were differences between them). They were strict but very, very friendly. The only thing we didn't agree about was the reading and writing disability of our daughter. Although testing wasn't possible, they tried to help as good as they can. We felt very welcome! Thanks Jacobson for the great time we had!

Jacobson has such a welcoming feel from the moment you step on campus. The office staff is friendly and offers answers to any questions you may have. The principals and teachers are always available to hear and address any concerns with fairness and respect. The classroom teachers have created such a safe place for students to come and learn each day.

Jacobson Elementary School is an excellent school that prepares their students for higher education. We are so happy to have enrolled both of our daughters into their Gifted Program. The Gifted teachers are phenomenal, dedicated, and highly experienced. The quality of education is on par with that of a private school.

This is a very strong public elementary school with a focus on academics AND leadership opportunities for students. The recognition assemblies are amazing, there are a lot of clubs run by experienced teachers and the administration is experienced and has been there for years. Also this school is extremely safe- they redid their office this past year and it’s very safe now. I would recommend this to any kinder-6th grade family looking for a strong, child-centered, diverse public school.

This school was not my boundary school, but I had heard wonderful things prior to my kids attending. I have had no regrets. My kids have had dedicated seasoned teachers that really care about their students. The gifted program has also been an added benefit to us, and a great opportunity to challenge them as young students.

The support by the entire staff at Jacobson is exceptional!. From the front office, janitorial staff, support staff, to the amazing teachers, they all know my childs name and jump right in to help. Kindness is a core value at this school and it shows. Jacobson really cares about a childs mental well-being after transitioning back to school after COVID. Emotional intelligence is just as important as math, reading, and science. We are so proud to be a Jacobson Jets family.

My son has thrived in his 3 years at Jacobson. He’s come so far academically and socially. Every teacher he has had, plus all specials teachers, are truly amazing. We are open enrollment and Jacobson is our school of choice. So many great clubs and even the after school Kids Express program is an awesome option for families. I would recommend Jacobson to anyone.

It’s too bad I have to give it even one star, the bullying goes unchecked. The kids are free to cause physical harm and torment and threaten the school and other kids. Even though the kids are taught to report these incidents, when they do, their concerns are dismissed and not taken seriously. The teachers for the most part are good and seem to care about the students, but the social emotional enviorment is poor with the administration. This enviorment bleeds over from Jacobson to Bogle Jr. High. If you can choose somewhere else, do so.

No impactful consequences to students that physically harm or threaten others. The consequences given for physical harm and legitimate threat are unsubstantial; moving the offender from one class to the next is not a solution. It only provides the disturbed child a new group of targets. The zero tolerance policy is not a protocol that is followed. Several students have transferred out of this school because it has failed with protecting the innocent. The victims are punished , the offenders continues to offend with no consequences of substance.

I have had my kids at Jacobson for 6 years and never had an issue until they hired an incompetent employee who has been allowed to retaliate and harrass me, the parent. Everyone at that school knows me and my kids and know that I have never be questioned in my care as a mother of my children. But this one employee has been enabled to cause mental anguish, humiliation, trauma, anxiety and distress. Did a formal complaint with the district and they basically said this employee followed protocol and are sweeping it under the rug. She did not follow protocol and her supervisor even admitted that she should have consulted with her first. This employee has adequate two dishonest claims that resulted in reports to DCS. District took her word against mine. This employee is rude, dishonest, unprofessional and is not qualified to be working with children in the capacity that she is in. I'll be removing both kids and putting them somewhere that parents voices matter and are not harrassed and belittled.
