I love the staff at this school, they are so sweet and helpful. It is rare to walk into a school and find that everyone is so great, but this is certainly one of them! The only complaint I have about it (and the reason I did not give it 5 stars) it needs a better Special Education program. My son has a minor learning delay, has been classified as special ed his entire time in the education system but the only program they had for him was to stick him in a class of severely disabled children. He was basically forgotten in the midst of the day-to-day chaos that would ensue (although, I absolutely loved his teachers because they communicated with me on a daily basis) and was not taught anything. He would also get scared by the way some of the severely disabled kids behaved. Otherwise, everyone in that school was/is fantastic. It is a shame to see some of these schools who have a staff that is there for all the right reasons not have the funding to offer what a minority of the kids need.

Top notch. Nearly all of the staff is very engaged and professional. (One teacher's aid is a bit embarrassing, i.e., kind of aggressive with students, shrill and not very professional, general behavior more appropriate to a tavern. Not a good role model, but aware staff does a good job tempering the ignorance.) My child did well there and received so much conscientious, caring, and insightful support from the majority of the teachers, staff, and principal. The principal, and school counselor are amazing. Genuinely invested and interested in supporting and guiding students to their best selves. They have a good bead on what's really important, and you can count on them to get to the bottom and resolve issues - not as politicians, but as sincere educators.

I have worked in several schools during my career and this one tops the list. The principal and staff are fabulous. They are very dedicated to educating all children and working together to do so. The principal is present in all classrooms on a regular basis. Parents are welcome.
