I couldn't be more excited about this school. Any of the negative comments here couldn't be farther from the truth. We are into our 2nd year and our daughter is more excited than EVER to go to school each day. They do amazing hands on learning and fieldtrips and the kids don't always realize they are soaking in so much valuable information. Our daughter went from barely reading to reading chapter books during her kinder year. She made huge leaps in math. It is an put of the box model and the small class sizes make this possible. Kids get 1 on 1 time with their teachers and the feedback we get through upgrade reports is astounding. Of course no school is perfect and not all teachers will be A+. But, they do an incredible job matching kids to teachers and vetting their teachers. If you want your kid to sit at a desk all day, take tests and bring home tons of homework, this isn't for you. But, if you want your kid to thrive and be an individual, check it out. They have made wonderful accommodations for us as our daughter is on the spectrum. I love that they embrace the whole child.

Anastasis is based on a fantastic model, that suffers from terrible execution and poor leadership. The philosophy and sales pitch you receive during your tour are inspiring, from there you are at the mercy or your child’s teacher. We have had 50/50 teacher assignments, some amazing - some down right terrible. For the poor teachers, there is no recourse or leadership intervention to improve their development. “Professional development” is extremely light and I would suggest checking if the teachers are all licensed to teach in Colorado - or anywhere. In addition to $10k tuition, be prepared for constant fundraising requests, and to pay for private tutoring outside of school. Upon leaving this school, both my kids struggled academically but within a semester or so we saw tremendous academic growth. Which indicates to me my kids had the academic capacity, and just weren’t being instructed properly. My students were especially behind in math and writing. While they are introduced to advanced concepts and interesting learning approaches, they fail to teach them the basics. Before sending your child to this school, inquire about the student retention and staff turn over - both are at least 50% per year and the school has failed to grow i. The past 10 year. I would not recommend this school.

Wow, what a school! We have been at Anastasis for 5 years. Our son still attends and our daughter has moved on to high school where she is excelling. Before our kids came to Anastasis, they both hated school. Within days of starting here, they both began to love school again and became more confident. At my kid’s previous school, they were constantly memorizing meaningless information for tests that they would forget a week later. They were overwhelmed with unproductive homework beginning early in elementary school. Many schools measure success merely through grades and standardized tests. Not only does this teach kids to base their self-worth on their grades, it robs kids of their childhood and happiness. At Anastasis, the teachers present lessons in an interactive environment that enables the student to retain what they have learned. They have discussions and practice critical thinking through learning about the world around them.At Anastasis, students learn the importance of their surroundings and learn to give back to the community. Students form tight bonds on day and overnight service trips. The entire school, K-8, interacts, everyone knows everyone by first name, and no student is lost in the crowd. Anastasis is filled with love. You will be greeted with open arms and be immersed in a tight knit community. If you want to give your child their childhood back, consider this school. It has changed our family’s life.

Anastasis is an excellent example of a micro school. Thriving with small classroom sizes, intentional teaching, and children who are known and valued as children of God. To see Anastasis in action is truly remarkable. *no homework school*teachers effective --ask about graduates of Anastasis when you tour*leadership connects with students and families in intentional ways (meeting of the minds, coterie, events)*school develops strong character including integrity, compassion, respect, work ethic and love to name a few*learning differences are celebrated-upgrade progress reports highlight students's learning styles and clearly show where students are showing grow or falling behind*bullying is addressed immediately, emotional intelligence is one of the many things students learn at Anastasis

After being open for 10 years, this school struggles to maintain an enrollment of 50 students. That is because there is no academic accountability or professional leadership. If your child happens to have a teacher who doesn’t like teaching math, then your child misses a year of math. If you attempt to address the issue with leadership, you are treated with contempt and hostility. There is a revolving door of families and teachers who enter the school excited about the model but then learn it is not well executed, so they leave. There isn’t anyone tracking that students have learned the necessary skills needed to succeed academically. Instead, they track how much “growth” your child has shown and believe that students will magically learn what they need to learn, when they are ready to learn it, regardless of whether there is proper instruction. We have had to go to outside sources to really understand what skills our child was missing and have spent a lot of money to try to be caught up for high school. If you are looking for a Christian education/community, keep looking. Once again, you are at the mercy of your child’s teacher and being a Christian doesn’t seem to be a requirement for employment. Our classroom teacher took no initiative at integrating spirituality and Christian principles into the classroom and dropped the f bomb in front of my child on multiple occasions. While the chapels used to be a good place to grow spiritually, the teacher who led the chapels left the school last year and now they are very poorly run, and my child regularly complained about them. There is a lot of potential here and some good teachers, but currently Anastasis is more like a badly run camp than a school. Leadership is unwilling and unable to assess the issues that are causing families to leave, so problems never get fixed and the school continues to struggle. Until significant changes are made with the leadership, I would not recommend sending your child here.

My 7th grade daughter is happy and feels supported. That’s the most important thing to me, especially while middle schooling during covid. She has this to say about Anastasis: The school does a good job choosing teachers and the teachers adapt to the kids. We take fun field trips and overnight trips (pre-covid).

We were recommended to Anastasis by a friend after we expressed wanting more from the academic environment for our daughter. Schools have had many challenges this year due to COVID and I can honestly say that everyone from the start has been as nice as they can possibly be. Its a super caring environment! My daughter has come home excited about some topics they are learning in class and that really didn't happen with her at her previous school. We are super impressed with the teachers!

I currently teach at Anastasis Academy. What really differentiates our school from other schools I have worked at in the past is the staff’s ability to meet every student where they are at academically and emotionally. The school leadership is constantly coaching and educating the classroom teachers to give them the tools they need to meet each student’s individual needs. The staff is constantly collaborating together to come up with exciting inquiry-based lessons that keep students engaged while also building a strong foundation of academic skills.

Anastasis has been an incredible school for my son. He has received an incredible education, learned to be curious and problem solve, and deepened his empathy and self confidence. Middle school did not dampen his spirit or personality, but instead fostered self worth and integrity. The teachers value and respect who he is and give him a tailored learning experience based on his needs. Inquiry learning creates a self motivated learner and that alone will serve him his whole life. Anastasis has become a family to us all and I know my son will miss it so much as he graduates this year. I wish there was a high school version!

I don't know how they did it, but they recruited the kindest, brightest, most energetic and fun teachers for all grades! The experiential, inquiry-based curriculum and nurturing atmosphere, make this such a joyful place to learn! My favorite thing about this school is they have taught my daughter to think critically, use her imagination and NOT fear failure. I wish other schools could snap out of the vicious cycle of simply preparing their students to take tests. There is so much more to learning, and Anastasis offers it all!

I cannot say enough good things about Anastasis! Our kids started this past fall and are thriving here. They absolutely love going to school. We have noticed amazing growth both academically and spiritually. Highly recommend

We are so thankful for Anastasis! Both of our kids are thriving there. The unique educational model employed at Anastasis excels at helping kids grow in problem solving and thinking for themselves, rather than forcing students to comply and fit into the same “cookie cutter.” From the first conference of the year, we were impressed by how well our kids were known and understood. Each teacher and staff person is outstanding. The principal is a leader in the field of education, and she truly cares about each student. Our kids have made better friendships at Anastasis than they had at their previous school. The inquiry-based approach plus a Christian worldview is unbeatable. We love the no homework policy because it helps our kids have time for important things outside of school like playing outside and spending time connecting as a family. We drive a significant distance each day to take advantage of this school, but we are happy to do it because the benefits our kids receive outweigh the inconvenience of the commute. We are so grateful to have found Anastasis.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Anastasis Academy. It’s the most positive learning environment I’ve witnessed.

Our experience at AA was good for a year, primarily because there was a great teacher. However there wasn't a strong growth pattern or guidance the following year. The lack of math is concerning, as well as the no homework philosophy which doesn't prepare kids for HS. If you have a child with different learning needs this may be a great place for the student. We couldn't continue to pay tuition for mediocrity, knowing we would have to pay for gap fill tutoring for math.

My child's experience at this school was awful! They did everything they could to NOT honor my child's learning style and needs. The previous principal they had, truly had a great understanding of kids as the unique individuals that they are! When he left, Anastasis Academy absolutely no longer cared about kids.

We have sent three of kids to Anastasis. We currently have a 3rd grader and 6th grader. There is not a better place for our children to learn and I am thankful for the teachers and leadership. This is a great school.

Anastasis Academy is a school that values all children for who they are, what they think, how they feel, and what their each individual interests happen to be. You will not find a classroom where kids are checking boxes and following a plan that is designed to teach them to pass a test. This school teaches children to critically think in ways that traditional settings are unable to accomplish due to class size and pressure from administration to have children perform inside the box. This school celebrates thoughts, ideas, learning, differences, intelligence in all of it's various forms and most of all children feel loved and accepted. With the class ratio of 12:1 and teachers who are passionate about pouring their hearts into the kids, our boys absolutely love going to school. We went from a school where being different and bright was shamed and innovative thoughts and ideas were squashed to a school where the sky is the limit. An interest based education has proven to lead to a love of learning. Weekly field trips and an understanding of social-emotional needs of children make this school like no other. Huge bonus, they get to learn about Jesus in a relative, meaningful way that is applicable to their lives. I have seen more grace from this school than I could have ever imagined. Also, the door from the top down is always open to parents with any questions and that says a lot about the confidence with which they teach and their willingness to allow a parent to be heard.

Anastasis Academy has been an answer to our prayers. Our son loves school! It's such a creative, innovative, collaborative, cutting edge education. Each child is seen as their unique and orginal self. They work hard to help the student love to learn in a way which interest them. Highly recommend! Low student to teacher ratio. 12/1 You cannot beat it!
