I love live oak! I went there as a kid myself and I knew when I had kids they had to go there! The staff and teachers are great and my daughter loves her school as much as I did they truly care about the kids!

We have loved Live Oak Elementary! It’s a safe and amazing school. Our kids come home happy and their education is being met to the highest standards. We love the diversity of our school and the inclusiveness that our children are being taught. Every single teacher that I have met has been incredible! I cannot say enough great things about Live Oak!!!

My children went through Live Oak and being a minority made many long lasting friends. It has a very caring staff and teachers are awesome at communication with parents and students seeing/helping the whole child. Highly recommend. Best in district!

Both my kiddos have gone through Live Oak from Kinder -6th Grade. It has been a welcoming experience since day one. This school has a family vibe and everyone looks out for one another. All the teachers are kind, and welcoming.

I absolutely love Live Oak. The community and school provide a warm and welcoming environment. My daughter is thriving her at Live Oak. Each year she has had a wonderful teacher who has invested in her education and have taken the time to help her become a well rounded student. I love how supported and loved she feels. Live Oak has a very warm, homey feeling.

I would rate this school a 10! It has such a small community feel to it, a family like environment.

lots of cliques, mean girls and bullies. you can talk to the principal and teachers to address the issue but their way of handling this is very ineffective as it doesn't stop in the playground

We love Live Oak. We came from a Charter School where my child was having trouble learning. She's quickly catching up and thriving.

I am very pleased with Live Oak Elementary. The children seem happy and there are a lot of fun activities besides just hitting the books. Unfortunately, I have seen some bullying by one teacher to her students AND even the parents. I think she has been there a very long time and that could be why she is still there. There are a couple of times of I have seen bullying by other kids but not any more than I have seen at other schools my children have attended in other parts of Santa Clarita and when we lived outside of California. I have seen swift action taken by the staff in those instances. The Principal, Staff and the 99.999% of the Amazing TEACHERS at Live Oak are what make the school so great, along with the fantastic PTA we have here. Where Castaic is lacking is the Arts... We need more music & theater classes in all of the Castaic schools. Overall, a great school!!

I really think this school has its short comings. There are some really great teachers there but others that are not. When I had issues I was promised things would get would get better only to find out that the issues were not addressed. I have had teachers shame and belittle my children there. The school has a bulling problem as well which I don't think is taking seriously enough. I will say I think the school has an excellent PTA the parents at this school are amazing. I also think the front office is great friendly and helpful.
