I have had two children attend this school, therefore I have had four yeas of different teacher interactions. Teacher interactions have been great. Even with the less favored teachers ;-)The biggest issue is not the teachers, but the school's administration. The office manager, Jodi Buntich, and the current principal, Bob Brauneisen. I would not recommend this middle school at all, simply because of the "regime" Bob Brauneisen has created. It's very much smoke and mirrors from Jodi. This school's administration is the complete opposite of Castaic Elementary as far as showing concern and genuine care for all students. And a sincere inclusive environment. Bob Brauneisen's a steamroller who begrudges. Bob Brauneisen, has on multiple occasions, under the guise new school procedure, continuously implements segregationist ideology. I didn't notice this at first, but a pattern has formed. Other parents have noticed as well. It is very obvious that Bob Brauneisen has very toxic traits by which the Office Manager will stand behind. The student are well aware of the ostracization the principal creates. At a time when there is a major societal move for togetherness and inclusiveness, this school's principal crates discriminatory filled division. I do not recommend sending children to this school unless you want your child exposed to or to view segregation and blatant administration approved student ostracism.

It was a lot of fun going to this school I enjoyed most classes and the teachers were pretty nice.

My child has just finished her middle school experience at Castaic MIddle school. She loved it. It is located in a safe neighborhood and she loved the teachers, kids, and going to school. The staff and princinpal and the teacher's were helpful, nice, and easy to contact. You know some parents' complain because their kids are brats, and they think everyone should cater to them. I say if you have a kid who is misbehaved...well... don't send them to CMS. This is for kids who are serious about learning and being good community members. My daughter had a safe memorable experience.

I had heard some negative things about CMS before my child started this school and was nervous about him going here. He had attended a charter school for two year prior and had fell way behind. I knew when I put him back in public schools it would be difficult. I knew my child had some learning difficulties and thought maybe the charter school would be a better fit but it was not. I have to say I was am surprised and grateful at how helpful CMS has been in helping me address the issues with my child. All of the teachers and staff have been so supportive. I love the office staff Linda and Maureen (hope I spelled her name correctly ). My child is learning and growing at this school. He likes the school even though he probably is doing 10 times the work that he was doing at the Charter School.
