Upon arrival, I wasn't sure Green Level would even meet our family needs, but it has in fact exceeded our expectations in all areas. Each morning, the Principal or another administrator greets the children. The warmth walking in is truly special and encourages children to recognize that they are supported-even when they wish they were supported by a cozy bed at home. The teachers are top notch, going a step above. Of course, you will have your favorites but almost every teacher in that school wants to be there, daily. From "extra duty" where you see a teacher smiling before the beginning of the day directing parent carpool to the extended hours teachers spend at events from arts to sports, it is apparent the environment is exceptional. The curriculum isn't easy, and most children are minimally in honors courses. The rigor is greater than the rigor we saw in one of the best states for Education. The staff is motivated and kind. From Mr. Tarte to Mrs. Stein in the office, everyone wants to see these children succeed. I have been blessed to see the school not just as a parent but sub and coach and truly could not recommend the school more.

The biggest mistake I ever did was to bring my kids to Green Level. Administration is very weak and lacks leadership. Principal is a cheerleader and caters to the minority of the school population. Relies heavily on the families to motivate while she sits in her ivory tower taunting at how good Green Level is. If you want a genuine investment in your child's education, do NOT send them to Green Level.

Phenomenal communication, so many extracurricular choices for students, great support from staff and admin, excellent course section options, active PTSA, diverse community, and much more. GLHS offers competitive opportunities to prepare students for the next level. They provide several levels of course options to fit all students and allow students to engage in educational options, athletics, arts, volunteerism, interest clubs, all to help students become well-rounded individuals. Very respectful learning environment.

Excellent learning environment. Wide variety of courses, activities and athletics. Majority of students are very serious about their academic careers, but also strive to be well-rounded people.

My son was assaulted on the bus by a much larger peer who had bullied him for weeks. Worthless administrators ignored evidence of the assault, painted my son as the instigator, punished my son, and didn't even suspend the boy who attacked him. When my wife and I confronted the counselors about the consequences, they were almost incoherent, could barely string a sentence together, and were not concerned with my son's safety at all. This school has the worst leadership I've ever encountered in the Wake County Public School System.

Green Level HS is a beautiful campus with excellent teachers and administrators. We get constant communication from school. The school is very safe as we have not heard or seen any incidents of bullying or violence. There is great focus on academic and athletic excellence. Many AP and Honor courses are available. Overall we are very pleased with our experience.

I like this school because it's new and we have more freedom than middleschool and elementary. Some teachers are really devoted and make relationships with thier students while some teachers just sit back and give class work all day. there are variety of clubs and a chill community. The food... well it's free so can't complain. The pizza is cold though. I love the library it has a good view of the front of the building. Also There is carpet!!!! And nice furniture!!!! Though i wish there was a upgrade on the bathrooms. And i wish i didn't have to take ap psych first thing in the morning

Top notch school. Very competitive w/a large number of outstanding students. Very happy with our daughter's education here. Only wish is that Wake County would get rid of class rank as most of the top 100 students in a grade here would be valedictorians at other schools.

So far my experience here has been terrible at this school. The teachers are the only decent part of the school, Counselors, and our principal barely do anything to help students. I have gone to get help from my counselor for a serious issue and she just made me start crying and gave me no assistance in what I really needed. This school is very competitive in both education and especially sports. They are very serious about their sports and only sports, they just want to be the best and have a title for everything. There is rarely any fun with it being so competitive. Coaches have been very unsympathetic and insensitive with students that have had medical issues and injuries. Trying to deal with injuries is hard enough but they just made the experience 10 times harder, even teammates did not show sympathy. Some coaches are good but it all depends on the sport you are going into. The school has caused my mental and emotional health to go down overall since I've started attending.
