What an incredible school. My daughter is a first grader in the dual language immersion program and we could not be more impressed with the classroom structure, quality of teachers, administrators, Parent organization and most of all, the principal. Last year during COVID quarantine was a challenge for everyone and I was continually impressed with how quickly and seamlessly the school managed to pivot over and over again to accommodate all students and families while keeping everyone safe and learning.

Canalino is such a great school and my 3rd grader has been there since Kindergarten. The teachers are amazing and dedicated to each student. The principal is energetic and open to parent suggestions! The parent group (Parents for Canalino) has added incredible new programs this year including Star Education (StarNova) Afterschool enrichment including science, "rockstar" gymnastics, cooking and more! The PFC has earmarked funds for Science assemblies, family fun nights etc.Canalino also sponsors the Annual Holiday Lights Trolley Tour which is a fun community event as well as school fundraiser. We love Canalino and would recommend to those willing to be involved and embrace the students and teachers that make this school (and Carpinteria) so amazing!

Parent group only has about 7 parents that do everything. So sad when the school has close to 500 students.
