I sub there today, the kids and staff were wonderful! The building appears to be in great shape. I could tell that the other teachers really care about the kids and their progress with the course material and their growth as individuals. The lunches looked great. Out of all the different schools I have been in I would put Walker in my top 3.

The teachers and staff at this school care deeply about the students attending. It is a great school for my child. I am happy to volunteer and help make this a great school!

I was a subsitute teacher for two years in many schools including Walker Elementary. I can tell you that Walker Elementary stands well above comparable area elementary schools and even other schools in the same district. Despite its lower-than-average economic area, it provides excellent services, personal attention, and accomodation for both struggling and gifted students. Both its administration and teaching talent is exceptional and the school day is built on a structure that meets the needs of each student remarkably well. One small example of how Walker is different is that teachers rarely address students as "class," "students," or even "boys and girls." Teachers address students as "my friends."

Walker Elementary is an awesome school. The teachers are AMAZING! The Staff truly care about my children. I love when my children tell me all about what they are learning at school. I would recommend Walker to anyone!
