My daughter attends this school, and she really likes the friends and the teachers in this school.Teacher always motivate students and leave reasonable homework for kids to consolidate the knowledge.

The school district refuses to educate my son. He has been out of school for over 13 weeks while the school keeps saying they are working on an IEP. Today I get a phone calls and I am told us that they now have 30 days on top of the 13 weeks to come up with an IEP. During this time they are having me drive my son to the district office to work with an instructor one on one for one hour during a school day. My son has excelled in school and has always had great grades. He pushed a kid into a backpack rack system and was kicked out of the school.

My son, niece, and nephew all go to Woodburn and we’ve had a great experience. The teachers have all been very attentive and make a great effort to make our kids feel seen even during the pandemic and virtual learning. I expressed concern to son’s teacher about his struggles with virtual school and she immediately started doing 2 one-on-one sessions with him each week. When we were dealing with a death in the family, the staff rallied to make sure we were taken care of. I can’t say enough good things about the staff & teachers at this school.

Woodburn is the absolute BEST elementary school. The phenomenal staff and students are what make it great. It's a school but feels like a family. Inclusive and diverse. The focus is on the whole child, not just academics and test scores. It's a wonderful place for my kids to be. So grateful!

My child articulated that the teacher was bullying students and bullying him. I didn't want to believe it. I went online to do some research and be objective about things. In a recent study of 116 teachers from 7 different schools (Twemlow, WebMD), 45% of the teachers reported that they had actively bullied students. Wow! So we began going through the suggested objective questions with our child. We monitored our child's behavior. Our child is articulate and was able to give example after example. We asked for support from the administration and it helped for a time but ultimately it was more than our 10 year old could handle. The teacher's biting sarcasm and public reprimands went beyond the normal scale. We pray this teacher moves to another profession but please make sure to watch your children closely. If the begin to hate school, find reasons to try to stay home, have stomache issue, relay disturbing reactions...take it seriously.

We have 5 kids at Woodburn right now. We have been blown away by how awesome this school is. Teachers are amazing. The principal is very involved and even the ladies in the office are great. Five stars hands down.
