I have over many years followed the students of Califon during the time of my children's attendance and also now my grandchildren's I have watched graduation for the past 18 years and recognize the many names that appear on the high honor roll and honor roll at the Voorhees high School level. Although it's my opinion and thoughts that most of our students are all in the higher 1/3 of their graduating class I have been proud to live in Califon and watch the wonderful outcome of our Future community leadersIt has been nothing short of exceptional

Our son has had the experience we could never have dreamed of. He has been inspired by teachers and staff, supported when he needed it and pushed when he needed it. It has been nothing short of exceptional.

We love Califon School! We moved from Long Valley 2 years ago and are so happy to be part of this wonderful little community. Our children are happy and thriving and have had an excellent educational experience. Our principle is kind and greets our children warmly every morning and the teachers and staff go above and beyond for their students. Great town, great people, great school!

Great. Teachers and students are nice and respectful. No bullying of any kind. Also, the teachers try to interact and get to know kids and have one on one time during lesson teaching.

The experience my family had at this school was horrible. The teachers more than not were not receptive when we expressed concerns for our child's learning issues. The current principal has no idea how to handle the children and situations that arise in terms of bullying among the students, and calls parent when little things happen, but fails to notify when their children are threatened by other students.This school is way to small to stay open. It is doing a major disservice to all the children and the community by remaining open. It should shut its doors and transfer the students to other schools where they can have all the normal advantages other children get at other local district schools. This school can't even have its students engaged in extracurricular activities such as sports due to not enough students enrolled. How parents and administration feel the children are getting an above average education is concerning, and I feel maybe they all need to be educated further.

Califon School is a terrific small school environment, where small class sizes, excellent and attentive teachers, a close bond with the Califon community, a strong and experienced administration, and plentiful opportunities for parental involvement exist. As a parent of multiple children currently enrolled at Califon School, I appreciate the responsiveness of staff to any questions or concerns, and their willingness to work with us on solutions. There are plentiful enrichment opportunities, but perhaps one of the best things about CS is the relationship skills students form due to their close quarters - not always smooth sailing, but valuable life skills, on top of a rigorous academic program. Sure, there is always room for improvement, but we've found that families who prefer a small and hands-on school environment do great in Califon. This is a special place!

Califon School continues to thrive. Although there is a segment of the community that is dissatisfied with the administration, the teachers are fantastic and the students are well prepared for high school. The administration is making efforts to reach out to parents and the vibe has improved dramatically this year. Given the small school size, kids have a chance to try it all -- and the school has a lot to try, from chess club, DI, school newspaper, student government, and sports -- and they tend to be quite well rounded when they get to HS. Teachers are very responsive to parent concerns, and students generally perform well on state tests.
