run. run away quickly. dont look back. this school only cares for the "gifted" kids in academics and school sports, they absolutely abandon kids who do not fit the boxes. i actively got hit at school by kids, infront of teachers, and no one cared. the buildings are actively falling apart, and maybe a HANDFUL of the ENTIRE STAFF ever tried to fight for me or noticed me.

Get away and stay away. This school is a disaster, especially in the high school level. It's one of the most expensive schools to run in the state, and has one of the worst success rates.

I would rate my experience at Cabot very highly. I’ve been a student at Cabot for nearly ten years, and there is no place I would rather spend the most important years of my life. As a high schooler, I can say that my experience has been above and beyond anything I would have expected coming into the high school. With the new curriculum, classes are intuitive, fun, and engaging. Above all else, Cabot’s faculty value their students’ education and the school could not hope for better teachers. Though we all recognize that there are shortcomings and issues with every school, Cabot is exceptional in how it overcomes those issues. Oftentimes, instead of trying to solve the results of problems, Cabot’s community tackles those problems at the root. Cabot high school serves its students in a way that no other public school in Vermont does. With a fully project-based curriculum, students get real-world experiences, enjoyable projects, and opportunities they wouldn’t get anywhere else, while maintaining proficiencies in art, math, language arts, science, social studies, inquiry, problem solving, and much more. Cabot is a small school, and because of that it may not be able to offer the extracurricular activities that many schools do. However, the experiences I’ve had within Cabot’s small community are ones I wouldn’t trade for the world.

Very highly. I graduate this spring, and I feel prepared to enter a rigorous liberal arts college this fall. Cabot has provided me with fantastic experiences and a world class education.

Children in high school are engaged and happy to be at school. Communication with school administration is clear and prompt. Students feel safe and accepted in the school

Very good experience for both my children. They love being students here, and are really thriving.

I have had many issues while my kids attended this school. There are so many renovations that need to be done to make it a safe environment. We are talking millions of dollars. My youngest is now in a different school with the help of the school choice lottery. However we are struggling due to not being prepared or a high rate of education from Cabot. It's time for change. Close the High School.

Cabot School fails in many ways to support students needs academically. The Project Based Learning program is so limited and not adequate for students looking for and need traditional learning. Students can be left feeling lost and alone in such a small social group, Cabot has very few students. The school is falling apart and needs a lot of work to bring it up to par with other schools. Not where I want my children, which is why we have opted to move them to other schools outside our town.

Cabot School is a wonderful place. We have a brilliant principal, an excellent staff, and an engaged campus.Graduation rates, completion of AP courses, and tertiary enrollment metrics exceed most schools in Vermont. What other school with an average graduating class size of 16 sends students to Central America every other year? Find me another school that sends kids to Harvard or off to technical training or apprenticeships equally well prepared. This is a tightly tailored individualized approach that is successful and valued by both current and former students. Are there room for improvements? Yes! Any campus needs investment, but students are in well-appointed classrooms. An amazing performing arts program is housed in a brand-new space and three playing fields and gym facilities are centers of recreation and fun for all students. Participation rates in extra-curricular activities approach 100%, by the way. Come see what we have to offer!

We have had five kids go to Cabot School, two are still attending; but we are actively working to get them out. We have been through five principals in 12 years. Many that were incompetent. The schools Project Based Learning (PBL) academic program is half baked and doesn’t provide the rigor of a true STEM based program. Often there are not enough kids to make up a sports team. The facilities need over 3.5 million in renovations. High turn over of teaching staff. Overall very unhappy with Cabot School.

I think cabot school is a great school. The teachers #1 concern is the kids and they always make sure to look out for them, no matter what age. The middle school and all of its teachers are simply fanominal. The hands on learning i have seen and expierienced is unlike anything else. The highschool, is also extrordinary. The teachers are nice, and make sure of teaching at a pace that is good for all students. Oh did i mention the music program? The highschool had their own band called the limes. They travel around and play original somgs. I highly recomend enrolling your child here. You wont be sorry!

Cabot school is a school with a hard working, caring staff. No student is forgotten. All students are known to the whole staff no matter the grade level.

My experiences with this school have been terrible at best. There is a complete lack of communication thought the school. They are notorious for pushing students through the grades and I have experienced this first hand. I have also found that decipline is far from taken seriously even when dealing with violence against a 1st grader from 6th grader. Even in those kind of situations, getting someone on the phone even proves difficult Because of the great many issues within the school, enrollment has been declining for years. Many parents are choosing to send kids to private schools or to home school. I will be pulling my children from this school in June The facilities are in poor condition and in need of serious repairs. Most of the building are reeking of mold. The playground is one big splinter. The high school offers limited courses in comparison to area high schools. Most of what they are offering right now is experimental and constantly being changed There are wonderful schools here in Vermont. My advice is to move on to the next one. This school is in trouble and has quite a long way to go to get back on track. Taxes are quite high in Cabot when compared to other town also
