I have really loved this school for my children. They are always working on improving the quality of the education and not afraid to try new things when teaching. The staff is very responsive, the teachers all really care, and I love that there are ample opportunities to volunteer but it isn't mandatory. All the teachers my children have had really differentiate their lessons to reach all types of learners.

I pulled my daughter out after 2 years at this school because the school was only concerned with fundraising. Teaching children was considered the sole responsibility of the parents. All they were doing in class, EVERY DAY - ALL DAY, art, lots of it, but no actual learning. Your child’s learning, progress, and explaining anything related to actual teaching of academic materials is on you. Good luck to everyone still there.

I've really been impressed with this school. There is a very active PTA and Fundraising Committee that provides so many extra services above and beyond what the regular state/federal funding covers. The school communicates very well. The enrichment is amazing. STEAM lab, music class for all grades.

This used to be a good school but has gone downhill over the years, the same as the district. Top priority is money not the students. The new principal is horrible. He is very rude. My son has a disability and I had to fight to get him any services. The school has tons of bullying and nothing is done to prevent it. I pulled my kids because I didn’t feel safe with them at this school or in this district.

Fantastic experience with K-1 teachers. Frequent helpful communication between administration & parents, as well as between teachers & parents. Wide variety of extracurricular and child care options available.

I'll have 3 kids attending Thomas Jefferson this year and I am so happy to be there. I've never seen a more involved parent community. There are so many involved parents that absolutely rally to give their school things and activities above and beyond. Only to be matched by the best principal I have ever seen. I am happy to be in the TJ community and so far, the teachers have exceeded my expectations, and has been able to inspire learning in 3 very different kind of learners.

A review from 2 years ago claimed that this school is full of Armenians and it's not. While there are several Armenian families, Jefferson is very very diverse with several South Asian/Indian families, East Asian/Korean and Latin American/Spanish speaking families as well the majority still being of Anglo descent. The demographics state that clearly. Very few teachers and administrators are Armenian so I don't know where that comment came from either. The front office ladies do speak English, Spanish and Armenian. The yard supervisors are all former Jefferson parents themselves. My oldest will be finishing out her elementary school years there this year and has had a great elementary experience. My two younger ones are also at Jefferson and all had great experienced teachers who know how to best address students with various needs and learning styles. It is a large school and divided opening can be a bit hectic as well as half day kindergarten but overall, we are grateful we chose to buy a home that fed into Jefferson 7 years ago.

This school is amazing. Nice teaches, office stuff is very helpful and we have a great principle. My daughter came to second grade from private school. Her teacher Mr. Rostomyan helped her a lot to adopt in new school, I'm very thankful for that. Hope to have the same experience this year!

This school is great. The teachers are competent and work with kids on an individual basis. Two of my kids are currently enrolled and although they both are quiet different in the way they learn, they are developing a love for learning thanks to their teachers.

I have two daughters at this school and I love it. The parents are really great and work together to make it a fun place for the students. The teachers are very good too and get very involved. The PTA and Boosters are big here and do a lot of activities. This school has a library, a computer specialist and the AR (Accelerated Reading) system in place.

I love this school. Great teachers, Great staff, and the PTA is wonderful. My daughter is completing the first grade and I look forward to next year. I have not had any issues and all my questions have been answered and worries put to rest.

We have been VERY pleased with Jefferson Elementary. We have recently moved her from another district with my husband's new job and have been immensely pleased with the office staff, excellent principal, and my sons amazing first grade teacher. My son has some speech and occupational therapy needs and they have also been wonderful in considering and addressing his specific needs. The school has a very good "Peaceful Playground" policy for recess that teaches kids the activities and games that ARE acceptable instead of harping on those not allowed. The school uses incentive slips for recognition, and the principal knows and interacts with her students with kindness and enthusiasm. The PTA and music programs have also been excellent. We feel fortunate to be at this school.

Great school, awesome principal. Office staff is very rude! Teachers are amazing, truly! My son has really excelled and I couldn't be happier. The PTA is super strong and parental involvement is very high in the classrooms.

I feel the same way about the office staff, moody and just plain rude. I haven't seen much action coming from the principle regarding issues with teachers that shouldn't be teaching. Last year wasn't the greatest, but we are fortunate to have AMAZING teachers this year!

Great Principal and Teachers. Parents get involved. Rude and arrogant office staff. That type of attitude should not be present near children.
