This school has changed not only my son's life but the entire family dynamics at home as well. Our home environment was chaotic and emotionally charged before our son began at Bolder Pathways. We see and feel the difference at home on a daily basis. We finally got our humorous, fun-loving, and creative son back. The patient support from his teachers and each teachers' true concern for our son's well-being and personal growth are felt by our son and by us as parents as well. I didn't believe this type of transformation was possible, but thanks to Bolder Pathways, our son is thriving and confident for the first time.

This school is amazing. My son loves it here after just a few short days. He is thriving from the one to one lessons in the classroom. I am so glad we found this caring and supportive school.

We put our special needs 12 year old into this school and by the end of the first week we had to pull her due to what we thought was such a terrible program. I have over 20 years experience working in education and with a special needs population, and I would highly recommend that you avoid Bolder Pathways. We have also talked to several families who are no longer at the program. I wanted to add that there is no one that regulates the private schools in the state of Colorado. After research, the Colorado Department of Education only shows accreditation bodies for informational purposes. In other words, there is absolutely no endorsement of their quality! After comparing different accrediting sources of private schools we found that the N.C.E.S was far from ideal. Furthermore, BPS has hired teachers who are not Colorado Department of Education certified, including the director. Her special education degree was completed at an online diploma school. Again, do your homework and avoid Bolder Pathways.

We have been blessed by this innovative school and our son is finally happy to go to school each day and thriving. The individual approach to education and caring teachers are exactly what our son needed to believe in his abilities and reach his potential. Bolder Pathways had given us hope for a successful future for our son and we are so grateful to everyone here.

Please avoid this school. My husband and I run a successful therapy practice and work with special needs children. From what we have seen, we think this school isn't an ideal place for special needs children. Terrible experience. Avoid it like the plague.

My experience has been better than I could have imagined, considering our experience over the past three years. I am very happy and, most importantly, my son is thriving here and enjoying school and learning again.

This school is amazing! Bolder Pathway was a lifesaver for my son, who went from hating school to succeeding both academically and socially. For the first time, he feels like he belongs. This is a school with heart. The leadership and staff truly care about the kids and their families and will do what it takes to help them succeed. They are incredibly flexible and will go the extra mile to coordinate with not only parents, but outside providers as well. They know their stuff too, and are a wealth of knowledge on different strategies and methodologies. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a child who is struggling in their current environment. There is a better way.

Thank you for visiting us on Great Schools. Bolder Pathway School has bold initiative to work with students of all levels and abilities in an inclusive environment. We don't require IQ testing for admission because we know that there is more to a child than simply IQ. Students learn using different modalities and we are successful at finding those to help them develop a love of learning. If your child is frustrated but wants to learn, our school offers a world of possibilities. We are a school that says "Yes, you can!"

Our daughter has attended Bolder Pathway School for over three years and we have been very pleased with her sustained academic progress over this time. Her teachers' willingness to adapt their instructive methods to her needs has made a real difference. She has become a confident student and has increased her rate of proficiency in a number of areas including math. As a result, we expect that she will complete her core high school academics at Bolder Pathway before continuing her education at the college level.

You need to look at this school!! Our fourteen year old son has been attending Bolder Pathway School since July, 2016 and has been thriving. His learning challenges are being thoroughly supported through the school's individualized teaching model, loving teachers, year round schedule, small class sizes, no homework policy and encouraging environment. Michelle and Sean provide ongoing support for their students and families by promoting communication while making it a priority to learn about each student and what supports they need to progress in their learning. This school is a rare, remarkable educational setting that truly allows students to learn and succeed at their own level and pace.We are so grateful to Bolder Pathway School for their heartfelt commitment to making learning successful for all of their students!! if you would like to speak with me further about our experience, please contact the school so we can connect!!

It turned out that low number of kids per classroom is not a solution for us.

Our son has thrived since changing from a public school to Bolder Pathway. He struggled both academically and emotionally in the public school. He know has an increased knowledge, confidence, friendship, social skills, and self-worth. We, as his family, have seen a dynamic change in his self-esteem and confidence that comes with understanding and learning. More than that, others that rarely see him unexpectedly compliment on how he has matured and the way that he now carries himself. The decision to change from a public school to a private one that has financially change our lives was not easy, but having seen the benefits of this school, we would not change nor regret our decision.

My younger son whose twice gifted attended Bolder Pathways School (BPS) for his last three years of High School and had a great experience there. We decided to enroll him in BPS in 2013 because he had had a very mixed experience with Administrators and other kids in the Boulder Valley School District during Grade School and Middle School and he had known Michelle and Sean because he went to them for tutoring while attending school in the BVSD. During his time at BPS, he was able to work at his own pace, connect with their teachers, gain confidence in himself and his abilities, and was very successful there - which just didn’t seem to happen in the BVSD. He also became their first graduate this past June when he received his diploma from them. We’re happy parents!!!

Bolder Pathway School has been life-changing for my daughter who has a significant language-based disability. I am so grateful we found this little school. My daughter was not making progress in the public school's inclusive classrooms. Now, at Bolder Pathway School, she is making great progress in every subject. In fact, her math, reading, and writing skills have all improved by several grades. Why the difference? At Bolder Pathway School, the classes are very small, only 4-6 students. Her teachers know her well and provide individualized instruction designed to meet her needs, level and learning pace. She is given adapted materials when needed. Her teachers even make audio recordings of her textbooks so she can read along. The school environment is kind, caring and respectful. All learning takes place at school, freeing up time for participation in after-school activities. With her new self-confidence, my daughter plays in the marching band and indoor percussion at our public high school. She has exceeded everyone's expectations and then some. Because of Bolder Pathway School, she is on a path to graduate from high school and her future is bright. I don't know of any middle school or high school in our area that would have met her academic needs as well as Bolder Pathway School.

Bolder Pathway School is the only school we've found that works for our son. They understand how he learns and individualize his curriculum to optimize his learning. They really care about every student and are invested in each student's success. Michelle and Sean are passionate about teaching and supporting all of their unique students. Our son loves going to school now. We feel very fortunate to have found this hidden gem!

We strive to be the best we can be for your child. We do provide a customized program so that each child can learn at their own pace. However, the learning is not self-directed and we teach each student in the manner that they learn best. If there is a concept that a student is struggling with, the teachers are committed to reteach the information in a different manner. We strive for excellence from our staff as well as our students. We have a very supportive community of families as reflected by our PTO, Pathway Parents. If you want to see what we are all about, we welcome you and look forward to sharing how we can make a positive impact on your child.
