Great with implementation of Catholic values, poor staff training, not competitive with surrounding catholic schools, does not support any type of special needs, Principal is not supportive of parents and does not support attempts of making the school education modern or competitive. Last three years, besides behavior, this school is no longer ahead of the game compared to local schools academically, but instead many have left and are planning to leave before 6th grade to have more and advanced educational outcomes.

I was a student at SMS, and a parent of four children that attended SMS. I am now a grandmother who hopes to see my children attend SMS. My education at SMS pushed me to be successful in life, and I have a masters and soon a doctorate degree. My children went on to attend college. The teachings of the school gave them a foundation that has helped them throughout their life. Teachers in high school commented that they knew which students came from SMS, well behaved, and prepared for further education. Reading the reviews I was disappointed in the negativity. To much God in school? Isn't that the basis of our existence? I believe in SMS and the students that graduate and go on to high school. My family is proof of the success of the school and staff. I was sent to SMS because of the catholic education and guidance, which is why I sent my children to SMS. I support SMS.

Sorry but I am aparent of a student at St. Michael School and I disagree with most of the teachers review. No the school DOES NOT churn out respectful students. They are respectful to the staff at school but not necessarily other students. There is ALOT of bullying and politics at this school. Considering this is "suppose" to be a christian school that teaches and practices christian values these things should not happen. The staff gives no support to the bullied students, including the principal, unless of course you are a favorite family at SMS. If you are not your concerns will be continually dismissed and your child is labled as the problem! If you would like a happy confident child, not a child that is torn down daily by STAFF and STUDENT do not send your child to SMS. You will also notice as soon as this review is posted a good review will most likely follow. This is because the principal sends notes out asking for parents to post good reviews on this site. Thats why there were so many good reviews posted a few years ago.

St Michael school is a great place for students to learn and grow in their own way. Yes students are pushed to be there best, but a lot of support is given to ALL students. Teachers are warm and caring and truly want the best for each child that comes through the doors. I cannot imagine the community without St. Michael school it produces very respectful, caring and driven students! My child is not yet in school, but one day he will be a part of this wonderful community!

SMS is an OK school but not the best. There are some wonderful teachers at SMS. There are a few teachers known throughtout the community that are not good. When you enroll your child and speak to people in the community you will be given warning about these teachers but the school does nothing about them. Just be careful when choosing your childs school...test scores are not everything. Your childs happiness, imagination, and self-worth are more important than the scores! Constant pressure and bad teaching will eventually reach your child...early on not in 8th grade.

This is an excellent school for all children. St. Michael School consistently holds it's children to a higher standard both academically and spiritually. The teachers and staff are very invested in the success of each and every child. Parental involvement is incomparable to any other school. I couldn't be more pleased to have my child receive her education here.

The teachers and staff work very hard to prepare students for the future. It uses the Catholic faith as a basis to all things taught, both spiritually and academically. The students of this school are often told about their respectful nature when they go on field trips around the community. I am proud to say my students attend this school!!!

I was saddened to read the one-star review of SMS. As a parent with three children currently enrolled, I have found the academic programs, the sports programs and the staff to be top-notch. It is true that an education at St. Michael School places high emphasis on God, both within the context of the school day and beyond. This is one criteria for an exemplary Catholic school. I hope the aforementioned parent did move their child to another school setting; the Christ-centered curriculum at St. Michael's can be a poor fit for families who are seeking SMS as an "alternative" means of education from the Franklin Co. public schools.

As a graduate from SMS, I am grateful that my parents chose to send me to send me here for my education! I was not only very well prepared to continue my education in high school, but also college. The religious core I'd the school helps students grow in their faith. I have spent the last few years volunteering at the school and get to see the students progress each year. The teachers and staff are very helpful and focus on giving each student everything they can to make them well rounded and successful students. I can't wait to send my children there some day! I highly recommend this school!

St. Michael School is a wonderful place with a very caring staff and awesome kids! The students are respectful and hardworking, and a joy to be around.

My child has been bullied here since the first day of first grade. Students here are very judging and if you don't fit their mold they gossip about you & refuse to include you. Even some teachers become bullies! They try lots of respect programs, but they are NOT working. They try to also make our student's lives revolve around God and God only. I wouldn't recommend this school to ANYONE unless they plan on being a priest or sister because they expect those to be the only suitable career options. My child has a life outside of school, but they fail to realize that too. Every week there seems to be some different school fundraiser where they want your money. I AM NOT A BANK FULL OF MONEY FOR THEM! This is a terrible school and I am withdrawing my child ASAP.
