Since Ms. Rios became the new principal, Saint Agatha became a very bad school.Ms. Rios definitely wasn't a good principal. Students aren't disciplined enough. Many of the students here in Saint Agatha pretend to go to the bathroom, but instead wander around the school just to talk to their favorite teachers. (I'm talking about the older grades.)During lunch time, students constantly have to deal with screaming from a certain faculty member. This person does this to force them to say the most common Catholic prayers ("Our Father" and "Hail Mary"). Screaming at the students, in my opinion, does NOT encourage them to pray to God every day. That same faculty member also helps out with the after-school program. This one time, a student hit their head on something and was bleeding a lot. This faculty member didn't even notice it until a couple of seconds later. This accident could've been easily prevented if they actually did their job and stopped the students from running around too much. The academics here are weak, especially in Math. The students don't get as much homework, and all they do is sit around and talk to each other. Most importantly, the teachers at Saint Agatha don't prepare their students as much for the New York State tests, the TACHS test (test for admission into a Catholic HS), and the SHSAT (test for Specialized High Schools). Plus, there is so much favoritism at this school. Teachers favor a student, or a group of students and treat the rest unfairly. Sometimes the teachers even curse at the students when they're angry.I think there should be after-school clubs that the students of Saint Agatha would actually enjoy. There are only a few students per club (with the exception of a few clubs), which shows that students aren't interested in most of the clubs that are offered. Thankfully, Ms. Rios is being replaced with a new principal. I hope that the atmosphere at Saint Agatha is changed in a good way, and that students are satisfied with their experience here at Saint Agatha.

Class size is small to allow the teachers to interact with the children more. Not sure what you mean by overcrowded when the largest class size is about 20 children. The does have a discipline and this ensures the safety and increased learning for the students. Saint Agatha School is not a Public School so therefore you do have to pay tuition which is discussed when you enroll your child. The teachers, staff and administration are responsive to parental concerns. You must keep in mind that the school and parents must work together. Saint Agatha School takes the suggestions and concerns of parents seriously. Nothing is perfect and improvements will help benefit the school community. By working together we will make Saint Agatha a great school were all are welcomed.

this school is HORRIBLE. if you want your kids to like school and learn do not send them here. The classes are over crowded, they do not learn anything useful, my child hardly got any homework. The school does don't aloud kids to talk to each other. the teachers makes kids feel stupid and if you have a concern about anything don't bring it up to them because the teacher or principal will not help. so glad i took my child out of this school. This school is behind in their academics. and all they care about is money. and they are the most racist school i have ever step foot in.

disappointed with some teachers! Most of the staff are excellent love the activities and caring parents that are always there to volunteer along with me! Should be more organize during lunch hour kids are allowed to talk 15 minutes? If the did not pay to see Santa they have to sit in front of him and watch all the other kids say hi and take pic with santa? some things can improve to make it a friendly and caring environment also with some teachers!!!!

This is a Great school to the community. The Principal's leadership and the Teachers support is fantastic. There are good resources available for the children. My child had a lovely graduation in June 2010.
