Are you looking for a safe nurturing middle school learning environment? Well, look no further, IS 381 Will meet the needs of your scholar. The school offers a variety of programs. The dedicated administration and educators are committed to meeting the social, emotional and academic needs of all of its scholars. The school culture is warm, inviting, respectful, inclusive, student-focused and committed to lifelong learning. IS 381’s uniform helps to create an environment where all of its scholars feel safe, valued, respected, and encouraged to take risks in their learning. I highly recommend IS 381 to families who want their scholars to be supported, challenged and successful. Kudos to the entire 381 community!

I LOVE this school. Mrs.Campbell is my FAVORITE teacher. Ms.Baptiste and Mr.Barkan can be annoying sometimes but their still ok teachers. Something that concerns me is the amount of fights that happen in this school. Ms.bizzare is nice just like mr.lawler and ms.lustig. I also love that we Sometimes use the computers and not just paper and pencil. However it can be annoying that mrs.agard is so strict about the no phones policy. SOME not all teachers in enrichment let us use our phones but not all

This school was the highlight of my life. It was a journey I will never forget. I came to this school with little English, and an obnoxious behavior, but though the time in this school I become exceptional in English, thx to my teachers that supported me. I started to leave my obnoxious ways behind, I started to make bonds. I started to make friends that supported me and we had our sad moments and happy moments. When it was time to leave, it took me months to accept the fact that I had to go. I love u I.S. 381- Huguens Adrien

I went to this school. I liked the teachers and they were really nice. But the other kids were just horrible. There were a lot of fights. There was a lot of screaming, and there were also some inappropriate things going on. On the other hand, it was a really good school with great teachers and a great environment.

I went here and graduated .. it was an ok school i didnt like it but i cant conplain fully because i liked some of the teachers such as mr.lawler or mr.k they were nice and funny .. mr.tormey sometime could joke to much but was funny to .. ms.lustig is nice as a person but not so much as a teacher espically when shes mad .. ms.furlong is ANNOYING .. ms.harrington is nice but can also be annoying and worries to much .. thepeople that work in the main office are NO HELP AND RUDE ! i could say more but #aintnobodygottimeforthat #classof2013

Excelente school good teacher, good area. The neighborhood is quiet administration the staff is very nice. The school is very small with a high education middle school experience.

I.S. 381 is an excellent school. It has been a fixture in the community for over ten years and provided many students with an enjoyable and highly educational middle school experience. Though administration can be lax with their school-wide behavior management policy, students rise to the occasion. Teachers at are mostly passionate and dedicated. Lastly, parents/families have shown their reverence for I.S. 381 by sending multiple students to the school. I.S. 381 embodies the concept of "school as community."
