Love this school and all the attention that they give to students. My daughter could not be happier and loves her teachers.

My child has been flourishing-- the leadership is amazing and supportive to families and students. The joy I see in classrooms cannot be measured-- students are engaged and excited to learn. They get exposed to different cultures AND learn Hebrew! Lots of programs and extracurriculars for students to participate in. Can't recommend enough!

I had two children in the school and both had an amazing experience. They speak fluent Hebrew, have great friends from the school and still miss their teachers. Also went to Israel in 8th grade. We loved it.

The stuff of the school is very polite and tries to help, but they don't have any idea how to work with special ed kid, instead of trying to do anything, they start to call parent to pick up a child. In the beginning process if admission, they said that they have all required programs for kids with an IEP, but in reality, they don't know how to deal with kids like that. I don't want to say something bad for everyone, but this school didn't work out for us. Probably if your child without any problems, this school will be great for you. One big plus for this school, it's very, very clean, which is most important nowadays.

Extremely unsatisfactory.. my child was there for 2 1/2 years.. we kept giving the benefit of the doubt. My family truly believes they will tell you anything to get your kid in, they do not deliver on their promises, only concern is grant money. I dont feel they cared about my child's education. I feel my child misses out on a lot of culture. They don't celebrate birthday or holidays.. only Israeli related events. They are very focused on learning the Hebrew language which my child was doing very well in but they are lacking in other education areas. We were told breakfast and lunch were free.. only to be given bills... we were told we didn't meet the financial guidelines (which we were never ever informed of) I called and emailed the principal regarding the bill....to get NO response. I have voiced my concerns with teachere, AP etc, fell on deaf ears. Try to call... if answered it's probably by an overwhelmed individual who will tell you to email... whomever.. only to seldom get a response.

I am parent of Kindergarten student. I am very happy with our teachers and programs they offer to my child. My kid never complained about anything. She comes home happy and in positive mood. She learns new things in great way. Every time I needed assistance with any questions, school got back to me same day. I would improve lost and found, since we did loose two good sweaters. But its not end of the world, my kid will eventually learn to be more careful with her stuff. I will be sending my second child there as soon as she is big enough. Truly simple, fun and caring school.

I work in the field of education, and as such must visit a lot of schools on a daily basis. HLA offers a warm environment with energetic teachers and added supports to ensure children grow to their best potential. My child got 97 percentile in Wnglish ELA amd 99 percentile in Math, this speaks volumes about the quality of education and the supports provided to set them up for success. I am so happy I won the lotto five years ago and wouldn’t change it for the world.

Phones never work. E-mails never get answered. I literally had to show up to the school to get an answer.

Not the best school to send your child to or else be prepared to do all the school work at home with them.

HORRIBLE! The worst school I have ever taught at. The assistant principal is so unorganized and has no clue on how to run a school. The kids are like zoo animals. Please dont ever send your kids here!!!!!!!!!

Worst experience I have ever had working in a school. The school leadership is extremely rude and ineffective. The curriculum is the worst I have ever seen and is strictly test prep. The parents and kids are extremely angry and frustrated, and unfortunately their feelings are just. This school is a war zone.

School has a great mission, but wrong leadership. There had been lots and lots incidences of violence, bullying. All that pricipal does is ignores the parents. The school had became unsafe with kids smoking in bathrooms, teachers cant controll the mayhem. New pricipal had dumbed down the curriculum, took enrichment activities away. May be one day it will come to HLA it was once , safe, inclusive, academically enriched, but not while principal Katcher is in charge.

Horrible school!!!! Please dont bother put your children in this school. Teachers are not on top of the students. They dont care!! No proper communication. Public school is definitely better!!! Dont believe what they say. They just want your child in cause they get funds from the stare. Strictly business!!

Can't say enough about this school! What a beuatiful warm environment at HLA. My child is learning things in the kindergarten that I am simply just amazed by. He loves talking in hebrew and is genuinely excited about going to school. Can't say enough!

My daughter was a student at HLA from grade 1 through grade 5. She is currently in Middle School and is doing very well. HLA has prepared my daughter not just academically, but socially and emotionally for this big milestone in her life. HLA's school community provided her with the necessary academic skills such as: taking pride in your work; diligence; love of literacy; appreciation for the Arts & Music; and goal setting. My daughter was in a diverse school environment at HLA. She was taught to respect her peers and teachers, to stand up for what's right, not to be a bystander, and to work cohesively with her peers. She has made long-lasting friendships at HLA. My daughter and her classmates were accepted to top schools: Cunningham, Mark Twain, David A.Boody, and other prestigious private schools. My daughter and her friends apply everything they learned at HLA to their Middle School experience. I feel blessed she had such an amazing opportunity to be inspired by warm, loving teachers and a rigorous fun curriculum! My daughter loves her new school, but says the HLA is HOME!
