It's SMOKE AND MIRRORS, they put up a good show during their open house in reality the school is short staffed and depleted. They run out of lunch to sell, and compared to other Catholic schools they are overpriced using the same vendors, the school has a roach and rodent problem. They are extremely unorganized, three principals within three years and the current principal is on her way out. The current Principal or Headmaster as "they" call it now is disrespectful to the students and the parents and lacks the ability to communicate with others, treats people like she's running some type of charity when the fact is the parents pay full tuition. The Vice Principal is a former teacher, that has been there forever obviously they couldn't get someone effective. There are plenty of better schools out there that deserve your hard earning money. The teachers are nasty, incompetent and rude always complaining about their salary when you challenge them with their shortcomings. I'm glad I had the financial ability to snatch my daughter out of there, my daughter was depressed in that school and now everyday is a brighter day for her in another Catholic school that really cares. Don't make the mistake allowing your daughter attend this school, maybe a long time ago this was a good school, now is NOT.

Bishop Kearney does not care about the proper education a student should receive. Most teachers are very rude. Instead of trying to make the student understand and help fix their mistakes, they get angry. Some teachers are very lazy that they grade the student's assignments 2 days before report cards. The food is expensive and unhealthy. My daughter ate from the school's cafeteria and got food poisoning. I was very disappointed. To solve the situation, I pack my daughter's lunch everyday. This school is very dirty and unsafe. How can I trust the school to know that my daughter is safe if they won't inform the parents about the things happening in school. I would not recommend sending your child to this school. It's all about safety and receiving a good education.

Bishop Kearney only cares about money. The religion teacher loses work that kids hand in and the Spanish teaches screams at the girls if they get something wrong. A math teacher was recently fired for inappropriate interaction with a student yet this was never shared with the parents. My daughter was accused of saying something negative about the school and we were given no proof of any wrong doing, told that we didn't need to hear was said and she was sent home on a one day suspension. But we didn't need to know what was said or who said that she said it. Really? And the woman who suspended her has no authority at the school and when asked what her role was she told us it was none of our concern. They are bullies, plain and simple.

Great school. Great environment. The 9th and 10th religion teacher needs to go though. Not at all a good teacher nor someone I want my children to have. Very negative vibe from her. Principal is great, President is amazing and I am proud to be part of the Kearney community.

Kearney has a highly constructed education system, and students are having great great fun in school whether is in classes or after school activities. Since it's a Catholic school, the teachers and sisters are all very enthusiastic and generous, they teach students with their whole heart. Each student will be assigned a very clean and large locker; foods in cafeteria are affordable and delicious. And above all, the Kearney spirit presents in every corner of the school, people are loving and willing to help each other. Kearney is not only a school, but a BIG FAMILY for everyone who attend. You will definitely have a memorable four-year journey there in Kearney and make lots of life-lasting friends in many different aspects of life.

I attended this school in the mid 90's. The teachers are second to none and the sports programs are fantastic. I excelled better than imagined I could while attending Kearney. Having attended public school my whole life, I was not accustomed to the Parochial school atmosphere, so I ended up transferring to public school, but only because my grades at Kearney were excellent. The teachers at Kearney made learning easy for me, even if the most difficult classes, such as Latin. They took the time to make sure you understood the material and always had office hours where you could do work independently with a teach close by to ask questions to, or work directly with a teacher. I am a big fan of the NYC public school system but if I had to send my daughter to a Parochial school, this one would be the only choice.
