I used to get bullied at this school me and my mom had reported this to many adults and alll that was done about it was the kid was told to stop which always made the issue worse and then once i finally tried to do something about it myself i got punishments like suspensions and detention for self defense. They never even bothered to try to hear my side of the story and always sided with other kids. To this day this still happens my brother gets bullied here and they have done nothing. Any higher up people at this school who may be reading this if you dont fix this issue its your fault when my brother fights back and breaks a kids nose.

In our time here (before Covid), we first hand experienced and witnessed:- The upper administration is disorganized & chaotic, unfortunately, the staff are disorganized & chaotic because of it. - Upper Administration handles problems such as bullying, physical violence, illiteracy, child safety, etc. very poorly, you may feel the problems is being ignored until you remove your child(ren) because it is.- If you challenge the one at the helm to act and do his job and fix the problems, there's retaliation.- Nepotism exists here.- I tried to join the PTO and it was very clear I was not welcomed there. It was clear the new friend who invited me wasn't welcomed there either.- You have to be in the right circles to volunteer in most classes, teachers pick the volunteers from the signup.- Summer school is based on need for free childcare over academic need.- I listened to parents brag about sending the kids to summer school.- Yoga is more important than reading and math in summer school. - Classes are overcrowded for the skill level of some of the teachers.- Be prepared for teachers who only answer questions or emails during school hours. (True story, 1 teacher emailed me on a Friday night about a problem, I answered and had questions, it was pretty important to know before Monday morning. She told me Monday that she doesn't answer emails outside of class hours because she is busy spending time and caring for her children. Her children are adults, like actual adults.)- Some teachers will tell you they want the best for your children, but when you ask questions to help your child, they scurry in fear and ignore you. (They spend 8 hours a day with our children, it's expected to get information regarding learning ability, physical and mental health while in school)- My kindergartener came home with political opinions.- When I told IEP we were switching schools, they closed my child's case saying there was no longer a need for services when there clearly was, causing us to have to go through the waiting period and evaluation all over again, wasting time.I had different aged children here, one came home politicized by her teacher, one had every problem, the other had none, until I started asking questions after noticing a behavior issue. Then my child and I were ignored and shut out. My children have gone to a different school, thrived, and clearly out-perform their friends from this school. This review will probably be removed, but its the truth.

The administration at this school is very hectic and do not listen to feedback from the teachers or other staff. The Principal does not handle situations well and does not listen to parents are even teacher concerns. The teachers are excellent and are there for the students. My main issue is with the administration and the carelessness of the principal.

There is some disorganization at the helm, a problem denied and ignored by those who are causing it. Aside from that, the teaching staff well makes up for it with their skills and attention to the students progressing.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Burleigh and the teachers! I have 2 children who attend. One of my children has special needs and during the evaluation process the teachers and administration were wonderful. They went above and beyond to make sure my child received the absolute best, most accurate diagnosis and implemented a support plan that has made my child more successful and confident. I understand there is some concerns regarding the new principal at this school, but I have not experienced any negative interactions with her. I have had to discuss concerns with her twice over the last 18-months (one bully incident involving 1 of my children being harassed by another child and one concern about teacher placement) and both times my concerns were handled immediately and with good communication/follow up. This is a wonderful school with high parent involvement and staff who truly care about the kids! Burleigh Proud!

All this school cares about is test scores if your child is below average they don't want you. They sent home racially offensive assignments and used physically restraint without parent permission. The staff says the right thing to the parents but there behavior says they don't really care.

We recently moved to the area and could not be more pleased with the administrative staff and teachers at this school. Every interaction we have had at this school is outstanding. My son loves going to school everyday.
