My son's experience was with bulling that was taking place in the class room for months and the teacher was well aware of it. He finally told me of his everyday torment of these two students. He had missed many days of school, and had anxiety about going. When this situation was brought up the the principal they took care if it right way. All of the teachers were told about the situation also. Boys were suspended for 2-3 days and privileges taken from them. My son, goes back to class and the teacher separates my son from these students, you would think she would separate these two boys?? NOPE! Following through and using judgement is critical! I can understand why she turned a blind eye to this behavior. TEACHERS OPEN YOUR EYES!! My child remained a good student and had good grades through all of this... Seating arrangements are important

I will be finding a different school to take my child to next year.

This school is probably the worst school to put your child in. No one in that school cares about the children’s well being let alone their education. They don’t properly notify parents about things going on at school and the discipline unfairly and on a guessing basis. They condone fighting rather than discourage it. If a child is bullied or attacked, the child being targeted is now going to be targeted by the school. They will get the same punishment as the one that attacked them even if they do nothing to defend themselves. Iss and out of school suspension is their way of “discipline” they just don’t want to do their jobs or deal with the issues instead of actually dealing with it. This school is a joke

Its one of the worst administration. They got rid of so many programs that were good for students

Extremely disappointing is all I can say. The teachers and staff seem to not care. Very disheartening.

New administration took over and the school just fell apart. Fights everyday, they do not follow the school matrix that is in place. They do not take bullying seriously.

2017 Open House (for the 2018 S/Y) was a disappointment. Only 2 teachers from 6th Grade core classes showed up to meet parents and students. The Principal's speech in the lunch room never once mentioned Academic excellence or the current performance or expectations. I attended this school in the 80's and am very disappointed with the leadership and the direction it's going. We are considering sending our second child elsewhere...

This used to be a great school, but the new principal has dropped teacher moral so low that some good, caring, highly trained teachers are leaving due to the outright abuse leveled at the staff as well as the students.

This school isn't really "great" . . . There are too many fights! Kids constantly get bullied and picked on! And there is too much swearing! All you ever here is more and more cussing . . . Even the sixth graders are doing that.

I'm in my eighth grade year at King Middle School and can honestly say I love it. It is the best middle school in the area, and teaches the students what they mean. And to those who say that we are behind other states, it's because of the overall state's government for education. Almost every school has a dress code, and most are worse then ours. They let you where what you want, as long as its not revealing. I love the amount of higher education you can get there, in regular subjects, and in your electives. Narrow mindedness? No, not really. They treat everyone the same, not just the upper class. It all depends on if you do the work or not, and that's how they judge you, if at all. All the teachers there have to teach the same plan that every school in the state has too, but they do it in an amazing way. I would suggest sending your kids here!

Extremely pleased with this school! The high academic standards are second to none in the county. For the majority of children attending, if they follow the rules (which are enforced!) and work hard, they have a very positive experience. The only complaints I hear are from parents who children have either behavior problems or social problems and they feel that somehow the school has a responsibility to "fix" it. My own experience, as well as the many, many others I know, has found the teachers and administration very caring and VERY focused on student success. If you want rigorous standards that will prepare your child for high school academically and socially, this is the place.

I like this school for the teachers, but this school has organization issues and lack of leadership. They sweep lots of behaviour and bullying issues under the rug calling it Horseplay on paper to make it look good. Their is alot of favortisim at this school and clickiness, I am disappointed in the administration! This is an undisciplined school.
