Although the school is changing their leadership gradually, the old people in charge are out of touch and put their under qualified teachers emotions ahead of your child's emotional balance necessary for learning. I would recommend parents the school after the current director/head steps down.

It is horrible that they won't work with the people who want to visit graves. I had elderly relatives visiting last year and I requested to have the gates open for Christmas and they told me to park at the gates and walk up the steep hill. Again I had elders visiting! They don't seem to care!

Holy Trinity is an exceptional school. The academics are rigorous but just right. The staff is great with the students, and very professional. Love the family-friendly environment. Also the precautions taken during covid19 has been excellent!

My child is thriving at Holy Trinity. The school is popular for a reason. They're doing great work with the children and we are happy to be apart of such a wonderful school community.

I love Holy Trinity. It has become a staple in my daughter's learning and will remain a staple in our family. I couldn't have dreamed of a better beginning for my children. The campus is always clean, everyone is polite, friendly, security always visible, events are well organized. Even Carline is a breeze. Every action is meticulously thought out. Great school!

This school is good at the primary school level and poor 5th grade onward. The math program is behind. Language Atrs is experimental....Students read books and little else. Class size is too big for private over 20). Teachers have difficulty controlling the class. Once, this school was outstanding. It continues to ride on its old reputation, but spend a trimester here and you will see for yourself. Again, good through 4th, make sure you pull your child out before 5th, unless your interest is in music. The music program is excellent. For academics, I assure you your local public school will probably be better.

I read a post that questioned the ability of HTEDS graduates to get into "top private high schools." Here is a list of schools that the Class of 2013 have been accepted: Annapolis Area Christian Archbishop Spalding, Bishop McNamara, Bowie Summit Program, Bullis, DeMatha, Elizabeth Seton, Episcopal, Georgetown Day Georgetown Visitation, Gonzaga, Good Counsel, Holy Cross Holton-Arms, Indian Creek, Key, Maret, Madeira, National Cathedral, Roosevelt QUEST/AOIT, PG County Science & Technology Program, Severn, Sidwell Friends, St. Albans, St. Andrews - Maryland, St. Andrews - Delaware, St. Anselm s Abbey St. John s, St. Mary s Annapolis, St. Timothy s, St. Vincent Pallotti Stone Ridge,Virginia Episcopal, Woodberry Forest. The same class has also been awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships. Well done Holy Trinity!

Beware! This school has declined drastically over the past 5 years. The new administrator has a very tough job ahead of him. The previous administator destroyed this school by employing sub-standard teachers. Many top private high schools report the decline in student preparedness for their program coming out of Holy Trinity. Tutors in the area also report a record number of students from Holy Trinity who are far behind in mathematics. Ask for a list of high schools that accepted Holy Trinity 8th graders. Very few got into rigorous programs. The quality of teaching is very poor due to a lack of a curriculm and outdated textbooks. The teachers have a gotcha attitude and focus on trivial matters. The school is ill prepared to deal with young african american males. The only thing good about this school is that it has a nice secure facility.

We had our child here for 2 yrs and chose to transfer to another school because we found that Holy Trinity was behind academically compared to other area schools among other reasons. When we asked for our child's transcript to be transferred, we were told someone from the admissions office would contact us. No one ever bothered to call to find out why we were leaving even after completing 2 full years at HT, and our child is a very bright student loved by every teacher that we had any encounter with. Meanwhile, I've heard of cases where some families are offered tuition assistance just to prevent them from leaving even when they didn't qualify for it. After starting at the new Christian school, my child actually asked why Holy Trinity is considered a Christian school. Clearly, the only thing christian about it is the name. I could go on to cite several other deficiencies. Not impressed.

My 3 year old son started this school this fall and we could not be happier. The entire staff is very friendly and hid teachers respond quickly to any concerns. My son LOVED his old school, and after his first day, he said "I want to go back to my new school pleeeeease". He is very happy, and expresses himself a lot better and it's only been 2 months. My husband and I are very pleased with Holy Trinity.

HTS is a business, plain and simple. It's about numbers. Wonderful families have left because HTS was unwilling to work with them. The contract for HTS is ironclad. Before you sign, beware. Once your name is on the dotted line, they will hold you to it. Even if you have to move due to a job transfer, they still want their tuition.

My daughter attends the 3 year old program and she loves it and so do we. The staff responds very quickly to concerns. Lastly my daughter is allowed to be creative and learn how to follow directions.

Everything visually about the school, web site, facilities and pictures look nice and inviting but are not representative of our experience. Our son attended summer program for 1 week and that was enough. Other day camps instruct children and ensure a friendly environment. Trinity just seems to lack in effort to be caring and facilitate a great experience for all the children. They may be professional but they seem heartless.

Holy Trinity has been an amazing experience for both my kids. As one prepares to graduate, the opportunities and offers to attend the top high schools around the area are pouring in. Holy Trinity has prepared them well, not only by giving them an excellent educational foundation but also by providing a spiritual environment that develops young men and women of strong character and integrity. The support we've received from teachers, staff, and administrators throughout the years, and particularly during the high school application process, has been outstanding. High schools are eager to welcome Holy Trinity graduates because of their academic preparedness and character.

I went through the entire program, from Pre-K to 8th grade. HTS prepared me extremely well for high school. I went into high school prepared on how to manage my academics, sports, clubs, bands, and other extracurricular activities. The teachers are great and I have made friends for a lifetime. -Alumni

We left HTS because it no longer maintains the high standards that attracted us. There is another gem in PG county that many parents do not know exist - Ascension Lutheran School in Landover Hills. If you want a CHALLENGING school for YOUR child visit Ascension and you will see the difference. We made the switch and only regret that we did not do it sooner. Good Luck!

This school is average at best. The teachers in 5th and 6th grade are worksheet driven and do not provide the students with any opportunities for higher order thinking. The teachers are more concerned with ensuring that the parents are not surprised at the end of quarter grades than making sure students learn. They are average teachers with very little creativity. It is definately not worth the money. The band program, however, is excellent. The leadership at the school is very weak and truly ineffective. They need to stop hiring ex-public school teachers and administrators. After teaching in public schools for years most teachers are zapped and do not have much to offer. This is very evident at this school. They do not pay enough to attract qualified teachers who keep up with the latest teaching research.
