I would not recommend this school! It may have a high rate but that’s because it’s a small town filled with rich snobs! Not a good community for raising well rounded children. Chopse an average school that is more diverse and accepting of everyone!

The Bow School district doesn’t care about bullies! If you’re beautiful, popular, can lie, and your parents and you are involved in sports, then go ahead and bully other students. Make them feel anger and pain and worthlessness until they finally snap and punch you right in the face or even say something wrong. Then you can go right to the school and tell them. Of course the school will do something about it then. Because if they tick off your parents, then they’ll lose funding for their sports program and we all know they care way more about that than anything else. This school needs to wake up; pull the cloth from their eyes. They have a strict no bullying policy, but I guess that’s only for people who are popular and on the varsity teams. No one else will listen to me, so I hope you will. I’m screaming at the top of my lungs, I’m crying out for some kind of help, and no one wants to listen to me; a small, unpopular freshman who keeps her head down. But this small freshman has things to say, stories to tell, and as long as Bow stays on the top schools in New Hampshire list, they’ll only care about things you write in twelve point, times new roman font. The education is great, I have had many awesome experiences with the teachers. They know how to teach and get their students engaged. That said, this school is perfect if you're okay with your child being bullied and nothing done about it. Sincerely, a small, freshman who sees more that others do.

After working in a few different schools in this state, I can say that this is one of the best in NH. The staff put students first and want students to learn the material, not just "test well". It is an upper middle class community and parents do expect a lot from the school and students, which is great. They also support the staff when it comes to our contract. They know the time and effort we put forth for the students and classes. Classes are heterogeneously grouped ( no levels) which help all students achieve to their highest level. Students can take an honors option in any course as well if they want to push themselves. We also have a dozen AP courses, and we are a small school. Academically speaking, this school is amazing.

BHS prepares you for college and life. My oldest graduated from BHS and continued on to UNH. On several occasions, he has commented on how well BHS prepared him for college work. The other college students were struggling with basic writing work and didn't know how to balance fun with schoolwork. Like anything else in life, you get out of it what you put into it. If you want to learn and work hard, you will succeed just like in life.

This school is over rated. It is drama central. Heaven forbid if you don't come from an affluent family and wear all the right clothes. Students are moved along even if they should be held back. Administration just wants good numbers.
