This is a review from someone who went here for 2nd-5th grade. The acedemics are super good (especially the EAP classes), but the safety is not good. We had 3 lockdowns in the span of two years. There is a lot of scamming, bullying, and even mild r*pe between students. If you do not care about your chiled's saftey throw them in this asylum.

Utilizing great schools to review how my children's own school rates and areas we might choose to relocate to options. I will say I am pitt off by the idea of seeing this equity rating popping up .... Access to opportunity does not guarantee equal outcome... How one utilizes what's available and their own achievements which yes is just as much with the family of the student as it is the schools to provide it. Parents be serious about your childs education and be involved vs just sending them off and not thinking about it and they will excell. Difficulty is only a challenge to be overcome! Work with not it not against as some excuse for each time something doesn't work out...every child is different and that is a unique strength not a weakness they all have the same potential. Learn from mistakes as we all make them, but how one teaches to learn from said mistakes goes a long way as not everything goes great from the get to...

Hit or miss with teachers in terms of quality. There's also no standard when it comes to communication with families, and the platform is left up to the teacher's to decide.

My child has been going to this school for two years now and I am impressed at how the school has handled online learning and the transition to in person learning. Everyone works hard to keep the kids safe in this school. The school and teachers are very communicative and invite parents to be a part of their child’s learning.

Despite an enrollment of nearly a thousand students, Canyon Creek never feels like it's crowded. Class sizes are small, and there are many extracurricular programs to take advantage of. For the past five years, our daughters have looked forward to going to school every single day. Kudos to the faculty and staff that have made Canyon Creek an enriching and safe learning environment for our community.

Too crowded. Parking lot in the morning is daunting for students and parents. Teachers are average. Kids show up at school because of hte incentive of meeting and making friends, something that does not happen now because of the pandemic. Next year will be a nighmare because more students will come to Canyon Creek because programs like EAP are brining students from other schools back to Canyon Creek. Expect more confusion because the Administrators are not prepared and the teachers are just not there.

In the 2 years my children have been students at Canyon Creek I’ve witnessed how effective the teachers and staff are at creating a wonderful, safe learning environment, and their hard work in bringing out the best in all the kids that attend.

Canyon Creek is a great school to place your child in. I was a student their for five years and absolutely loved it there! The staff is kind, and the teachers really care about our learning. I have no bad things to say. I highly recommend it if you are moving to the Bothell area. I wish I never left!

My child attends First Grade at Canyon Creek Elementary. The only time the class teacher has spent time reading with my kid was when she is grading. On most occasions, the reading classes are conducted by parents and grandparents. I am hoping to take this into account when Northshore School District asks me to vote for the MASSIVE tax levy that is up for vote in early 2014.

Run from the state of WA. Great Schools website has been a complete disappointment by not having up to date information. WA will just start to implement Common Core in the next 2 years. NSD is over over crowded. Canyon Creek Fernwood and Kokanee are all at 800 kids expected in the next year, which means your Kindergartener and probably 1st grader will be bused elsewhere in the district. And they want a new high school to correct this problem. Canyon Creek has a library where the computers are not turned on for the kids to use, the computers are not used in the classrooms because there are too many kids with too many discipline issues and academics are redundant and low level for most kids. Run from NSD and the state of WA.

I totally agree with the most recent post. The school is very crowded and the curriculum is too easy. We have two children they and both complain they are doing the same things they have already done. When I drop off and pick up, I feel overwhelmed due to the mass of kids running around and the chaos. I can only imagine how my kids feel. I am not impressed at all by the WA schools.

My boys attended this school for 4 years and I'm so glad we moved out of state and left this school. Very overcrowded! Had up to 780 students when we left! The staff is worn out and the curriculum is so pathetic and easy. My kids are finally being challenged at their new school. I do have to say one positive thing is that the music teachers and PE teachers are great!

Very crowded school. Since school started, I have been trying to get time to discuss some specific needs of my child with the class teacher. The class teacher has been unresponsive even after many attempts.
