My son has had an amazing experience at McMillian. After being transfered from a different school where my son was bullied and where his IEP was not followed. McMillian has a good special needs programs for Idaho. The class sizes are smaller and the mainstream teachers do have experience and training in special needs.

We moved our children to Gateway after several years in the Boise School District. We have be more that satisfied with the teachers and the progress both of our children have made academically. More importantly, the principal and staff take bullying seriously and are immediate in their actions to contain such behavior. With a school that is so culturally diverse they do a wonderful job showing compassion, and teaching these students how to make good choices in school work as well as socializing. Moving to this school has been a positive change for our family.

Gateway's language immersion program is amazing. Talk about getting a head start and expanding your horizons to understand 2 languages in elementary school. Our kids are some of many in their class that are learning far above their grade level in math and reading (and that's just in the regular classroom!), as well as learning the brand new language and all of their school concepts in it. The teachers are top tier for teaching to the various levels of understanding within a class room and helping every child succeed. These kids take in so much more than we want to imagine, and this school shows you just how much they can learn.
