They do a good job of moving the traffic though and I realize if they start checking it would slow things down. In the summer, the kids are forced to sit on the hot pavement until a car comes they decide to get into. In the winter they sit outside in the cold waiting. If it rains they allow them to get under shelter but then there is a terrible traffic jam since they go down to one lane. It makes me wonder why they don't resolve this issue by erecting a simple awning. It makes me think they don't really care that much about the comfort or safety of the children. The office staff look unhappy. Seems like most of the rules are made to make things easier for the staff and to heck with the parents and students. On a positive note, my daughter has a great home room teacher. She really seems to care.

This is my sons first a d last year .I am at a loss. Of words really .This school is ridiculous with costs.I enrolled my son and that cost $96.Had to pay for picture the day they were took. The cheapest pk was $36I dont like paying for them b4 seeing them and then the mandatory clubs cost due their first meeting.Im sorry but money isnt free flowing in my home when you send home forms to sign and se d back the next day with paymentWhats up??!!My son went to Carlisle Fosters Grove all his scho years and he an I loved it I am now realizing how great it was compared to just a measly 3 wks at BSIS Im goung to try a d stay positive though all their reviews are not hopefully itll get better but they seriously need to give a little more notice when $ are due not everyone has cash at the drop of a hat

WE ARE VERY DISPLEASED WITH THIS SCHOOL!! The reviews are right when they say the principal is worthless at handling her staff and students. Our 4th grader was treated like a second class citizen by the faculty and administrators. Her math and science teacher spent more time on her iphone texting than she did engaging with her class. Just way too many rude, nasty experiences to put in one review. All I can say is if you value your babies do NOT SEND THEM TO BOILING SPRINGS INTERMEDIATE! I didn't even bother coming to the principal with my daughters observations of her teacher texting all day. WHY???? Because I knew she could care less and probably just dismiss me like she done before. SMH

We are very unhappy with BSIS. The environment is cold and unfriendly. The principal is rude and never goes out of her way to smile, greet, wave, or make you feel welcomed. Administration's main focus is PASS scores and not the individual needs of the student. Their goal "is raise all scores at any cost". Art and Music is offered to 5th grade but not 4th grade due to "no money for an extra teacher" . Fees for supplies and/or field trips is high compared to other D2 schools and leaves parents wondering where exactly their money goes. Not a parent friendly school. They have a "ghost PTO" . At registration they included the $5 PTO fee in with registration fees without telling the parents. A very "shady" school that does what they want to do. This school makes home schooling for one year worth it!

This has been the worst year that I ever had. That's all I have to say......

The only thing I have to say about this school is I told the principal I wouldn't allow her to be a principal to my dog!

I think this school is terrible. The best thing about it is my daughter only spends one year here. The administration is horrible! Any interaction has been short and curt. My student has 100 in many subjects including her Gifted Talented class you would think the teachers could raise the bar for her? Nope. I have heard nothing from the PTA or any parental involvement opportunities. I look forward to District 2 getting a 5th grade!

This school is ok overall. I am a current fifth grader and I have had some problems with bullying. I moved form Taylors,SC and the school district there was way better. I was in great classes with teachers that really enforced rules better than BSIS. BSIS on the other hand is not as good as Taylors Elementary. BSIS has fun things to do AT THE END OF THE YEAR. At the beginning of the I was in GT (a class for advanced students) but I eventually quit so I could focuse on the more important classes. I quit b/c the teachers don't explain things well enough! I am not completely sure how to recommend this school !?

Have had a bad experience with this school. I am all for discipline but seems very strict. After school awaiting pick up kids sit in sun and can't move or speak. It has been a few years since my son's siblings have attended here, hoping things are a little more positive this year, only have to be here a year thank goodness.

By far the worst school my kids have attended. There is a strong sense of punishment and not praising the kids for their good grades and behavior.Seems that all you can do is grit our teeth and bear it until the yr is over:(

I am shocked at some of the reviews about BSIS. My son had a great experience the 2 years he attended BSIS. The administration is very fair no matter how much money you have or what your last name is. This is different from some schools who give special treatment to certain people based on the above mention criteria. The reason that parents are no longer able to go on field trips is because some of the parents who chaperoned let the kids run wild and didn't make them follow the field trip rules. The school has great teachers who have high standards. I think sometimes you have to consider the source before you post negative comments about an entire school based on one situation or experience.
