Hostile, coercive, unprofessional and culturally insensitive to their students and the families that were segregated into this school with undesirable pipelines.

Fairview is terrible. So terrible that I refuse to let my child go there. I have begun looking at Seven Oaks Classical School as an alternative. Head lice, bullying, lack of structure, low test scores- all reasons why my child won't attend.

As I've heard such bad things about Fairview & have a child that attends there, I took it upon myself attend school for 2 days..The result? Horrifying!! Hallways chaos. The playground is nothing but a place for kids to fight. As I watched the kids the "Teachers on duty" were in a huddle laughing & playing on their cells, while all the kids mainly "owned" the playground. lunch was the same way so loud you couldn't even hear anything with the shouting of students to students. It was hard to even eat. The bullying is out of this world as I saw several times the 2 days I was there. I spoke with Dr.Hunter about what I saw & it was just "pushed under the rug" & never took seriously even coming from an adult & parent. Teachers & kids leaving do to the conditions. This should be the best days of school, where their foundation is laid out, life long friendships are made & learning skills are made, being safe, & happy to be at school, but instead of all of that it's a scary place. As a adult my nerves were on edge, I couldn't wait to get out for the day, so I can only imagine what goes on in the minds of our kids.. Fairview is not going forward, but rather backwards to say it lightly.

Fairview is making a big turn around thanks to great teachers who care about there students no matter their family status.

The teachers at Fairview are incredible. Teachers should always have a "passion" for teaching and that passion is extremely visable with the teaching staff at Fairview Elementary. With such a transient student population and the challenges these kids face, teachers at Fairview are much more than just teachers. The kids learn and know that these people care, not only about their grades but about them personally. Sometimes that makes all the difference in the world!

Fairview has always been a school with very committed teachers, now in a new building they will be able to carry out may of the curriculum ideas that space had previously limited. It is a building that will hopefully inspire children and families.

During a tough period of transition Fairview was there to support me and my daughter, and I really appreciated the support.

I work in the local community and have had the pleasure of helping the staff and children at Fairview over the past few months. The teachers, adminstration, and support staff are truly dedicated to educating and caring for the children. Unfortunately, many of these students are in extremely disdavantaged circumstances. I have seen the patience, understanding, and desire to really help these children by everyone at the school. This school deserves to win!

I love Fairview School because Fairview School has a great Head Start program located in their Elem. School and that will help prepare those younger children for their Elem. School success. The Head Start teachers/aides are just great with the kids. Thank you to Stacey, Jean Marie, Justine, and Shakey for doing a FABULOUS job and thank you to Fairview Elem. School for seeing how important Head Start is!
