My daughter currently is a kindergarten student at Quarton. So far, at least, I have only positive things to say about the teachers and principal, as well as the parents and community, and recommend the school unequivocally. In fact, my wife and I based our decision to move from San Francisco, California, to our Quarton Lake Estates residence specifically because of its close proximity to the well-regarded Quarton elementary school. Having said that, I do have one issue with this school, which is its poor management of the car pickup and drop off line process. For example, certain parents feel entitled to cut in line for afternoon pickup, showing up at the last minute and cutting in front of all of the other cars who have waited patiently in line for 10-45 minutes to get their kids. The school needs to implement some system to penalize these offenders because it is totally unacceptable. No one should be entitled to cut in line for pickup; we all have jobs to do and have places to go, after all. That said, I love the school and recommend it highly.

Great experience with our kids at this school. It's a nurturing community and caring group of parents who all get along well and are inclusive and friendly. My wife and I moved from the city to the suburbs for this exact kind of experience. To have a great public school in an incredible location, just a five minute walk from our house, really adds to the community feel to this school. My daughter is in kindergarten at Quarton and my wife and I plan to enroll each of our younger kids here when they get older.

I've been a Quarton parent for 8 years and have found the teachers to be dedicated to the students and the school committed to continuous improvement. The staff is incredibly helpful and the community is warm and welcoming.

Our only positive experience at this school was kindergarten. The first grade teacher caused us to leave this school. The principal was ineffective. There has been a mass exodus from this school since the pandemic and it’s largely due to lack of leadership. Bullies suffer no consequences. Not sure how this school has any kind of “Character “ designation as it was never a part of anything I saw while in the building. We had moved to the neighborhood specifically for this school and we were terribly disappointed.

We have had children at this school for the last seven years, and each year has been nothing short of a wonderful experience. Every teacher our children have had goes above and beyond expectations to help their students learn and succeed. For a public school, our children's classes have been on the small side, allowing teachers to address the individual needs of each student. Our energetic principal is both approachable and well respected by parents and staff. There is a strong sense of community in this school, and character education where values such as kindness are instilled beginning in Kindergarten. We also love the strong parent community, and the additional support and resources that are provided to our staff and students through the Quarton PTA. The school building itself, the oldest part of which dates back to 1927, is charming and very well maintained having undergone frequent updates, the latest technology upgrades and recent renovations. I highly recommend Quarton Elementary!

Teachers and Staff are wonderful at Quarton. This school really has a small, neighborhood feel to it. The kids are kind and eager to learn. The parents are a great community of support for the school. The school prepared my daughter outstandingly for middle school. Highly, highly recommend this school!

Building is old and has had leaks and water damage. Bathrooms always smelled moldy. My kids were always sick there. My daughter (in the three years that she attended the school) had Pneumonia twice, pleurisy, chronic sinus infections and was diagnosed with exercise induced asthma. My son was similarly ill all of the time. At some point the community voted to save the school building which had aged beyond it's useful life. Although the school may be charming due to its architecture and age that should not override the health of the building; especially given the age of the kids attending. The teachers were unenthusiastic and lacked accountability. I had a teacher tell me she thought my daughter had ADHD which prompted our spending a large sum of money to have her tested. The results showed absolutely no signs of ADHD. She did test in the gifted range so it was more likely she was bored. It is very cliquey. Was run more by parents than the principal. No diversity in the student body or teaching staff.
