My kids love coming to school. We are thankful to be part of this school, teachers and staff are very supportive, friendly, understanding, engage and always very responsive to students and parents. This school does alot for students compare to nearby cities. They have a lot of after-school programs that kids love and keeps them active and busy weather is physical or mental. My kids have made great progress here. The principal is an amazing person so prepare and very helpful.

I am so grateful to have attended Komensky for my K thru 5 education. I am still in contact with my 1st/5th grade teacher, nearly 40 years later. The foundation constructed from this experience has served me well in obtaining a doctorate and overall happiness in life!

As a current parent with a little one at Komensky, we feel our kiddo has progressed, been supported & is very safe at school. The teachers, staff and principal have all been extremely engaging and offer many after school opportunities as well for our child to learn new skills and develop friendships outside of the classroom. We are very happy at Komensky!

I think this is a great school. The teachers are wonderful and form great partnerships with parents. They do a lot of extras, for example, the teachers and principals walked door-to-door last school year to welcome everyone to the new school year. The technology available to the student is unheard of. Our students are receiving a better education than our neighbors in other suburbs. I like the new principal a lot. He is very friendly and is seen on the playground, at events, and is always in my kids classrooms. Komensky is making a turn for the better!

This school lack leadership starting from the principal including the superintendent as they are not approachable and when you do call them they do not return calls in a timely manner. The office staff also lacks skill in how to approach parents in a respectful manner. I guess they forget, we as parents and taxpayer are paying the salaries.

We love Komensky! My daughter is in forth grade and has been attending Komensky School since Kindergarten. The staff is like a wonderful loving family! I have been a parent volunteer for the past 4 1/2 years at any event I am able to. $4.25 of the $5 PTA fee goes the the Illinois PTA to pay the Komensky dues and the remainder of the money provides assignment notebooks and Komensky folders for each student. Komensky does need more parent volunteers to step up to the plate. The PTA is great diminishing with only 3 members on the board, parents need to step up because the staff is excellent and works very hard to make Komensky a wonderful school!!

Great School, it just needs more ledership and parents involvment. there is out of control with cross road, anytime it child my get kill because there are not enough cross road, I can see in other school and even in Cicero that two even three blocks from school they have crossguards and on 26th street. ALso the PTA collects money and I do not see they do anything for the children or parents,, at least no report on what they do.
