Our experience has been good so far

-1000. The staff are rude. The counselor harassed parents. The principal is far from professional. Do not put your kids here.

Our experience with Cordata Elementary has been excellent with both of our children. The teachers care deeply about their students and use a wide variety of methods to effectively reach different learning styles. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the teachers our kids have had. The communication by the administration and staff is great.

Cordata Elementary is an incredible school with a dedicated, open, warm, and welcoming staff who genuinely cares about the students and families it serves. It offers many programs to support its diverse population, including an on-site school counselor, interpreters for ELL families, reading specialists, and a beautiful Life Skills program. Cordata also has incredible PTA support for family events, field trips, and after-school enrichment clubs. The PTA is friendly, supportive of working parents (meetings are in the evenings, with free childcare), and truly dedicated to Cordata students. Trails to the school are in the works, which will make it more accessible for families. I can't speak highly enough of Cordata's principal, who sets the tone and standard for all teachers and staff at the school. He attends every PTA meeting, every family event, is active within the school district and the broader Bellingham community, and makes it a point to know every student and every family attending his school. Go Bobcats!
