Horn is such an incredible community of families, teachers, administration and school staff. We built a home in the neighborhood specifically for the elementary school, and feel very grateful that our children attend/attended Horn. The environment is very loving yet fosters a desire for learning and challenges the students educationally.

Horn Elementary is a small-town feel in the big city! It is such a wonderful and diverse community of parents and students. The school has amazing teachers who care about each child and how they need to learn. They communicate with parents and we have had an amazing experience so far with our two children. The Bellaire community is amazing. Parents always willing to help and teachers that also will give their time above and beyond. We have great ancillary classes that are fun and educational. The Horn staff is wonderful as well. We are so happy to call Horn our school!!

My two boys are at Horn and are having a great experience. The support of the staff and the teachers have been amazing. We are fortunate to have our kids at Horn.

All three of my daughters have or are attending Horn Elementary. The school has been a fantastic fit for our family. We love the fact that Horn is truly a neighborhood school. The families who attend are invested in the success of the school - teachers and students alike. The individual classes, while large, never seem overwhelming for my kids. The teachers have been excellent at communicating and offering advise/ assistance as needed. I love that my kids got to participate in the various ancillary classes including music, PE, library, and STEM. In the past there has also been science lab and drama, but due to COVID-19 and related HISD staffing issues, those are currently suspended. I'm hoping they are able to bring those electives back next year as well. Horn ES is a true gem in the Bellaire neighborhood, and I would recommend for every eligible family to check it out!

This is my fifth year with a child at Horn and every year gets better and better. Teachers are fully invested in the students experience. Loving and nurturing yet firm and disciplined when needed. The school leadership has successfully and effectively navigated the uncharted waters of the pandemic. Even during our virtual classroom time my sons were still challenged and engaged by their teachers. We moved to the neighborhood specifically for Horn and are so grateful we made that choice. Such a hidden (although maybe not so hidden anymore) gem of a school!

Horn Elementary school is fully committed to the highest standard of education for children, and has a rich learning environment. We really like the variety of enrichment classes that expose the children to an early appreciation of STEAM. This works really well with the school and parents working together, with the underlying strength of the great Bellaire community.

We moved to the neighborhood specifically for Horn. It's located in the middle of the neighborhood away from major streets so the area is very safe. Parents are very involved. You can easily tell by the number of parents that walk their kids to the school and the level of parent volunteers that participate in school activities. The school was recently rebuilt and is maintained very well on the exterior and interior, so it is very inviting. You feel great when you walk in to see all the kids artwork that is displayed throughout the hallways. The teachers at the school are very committed to the success of the kids. From my experience, they are very interactive and communicate with parents regularly. The administration looks to be very organized with events and communications through newsletters. The most important indicator is my son who loves it there!
