This is the most loving place! Paul, the admissions director/ head therapist is one of the kindest people I have ever met! Irene, the principal is also very present and invested. Other faves include but not limited to: Mr. Margioni and Ms. Bush, Ms. Kay and Mr. G, Ms Bradley, I could on.... Gym and art teachers are total gems as well. Maryanne did an excellent job with speech! The education consists of masterful teaching for learning disabilities. They are admittedly more expert with the learning disability classification than emotional disturbance; so if your child needs stricter no nonsense limit setting and more therapeutic support, this may not be the right fit. They do not let the students get away with anything, they just expect them to regulate themselves. The population here is kind, mature, and well behaved. Lowell is for students who have strong sense of self direction and just need a little more support to stay on task. This school did live instruction all day on google meet during the Covid lock down which was impressive! A lot of places just sent a packet home and left the kids to their own devices. If your child is lucky enough to get in here, consider yourself very blessed! Bonus: according to my son, the food is home made and delicious to boot!

I went to Lowell school in 1984. Teacher were bully. did not Know how to teach. let kids to bully to me. Teacher was bully to me gave more free time than . than teach. let kids to talk bad about me. did teacher. had problem with my math did not help. we asked for help they got mad. tell me how to feel. mad at me i did not talk with my mouth fully. let kids to mock mehit me.

My child is a completely different person since attending Lowell. From day 1, she learned how smart she was. They teach in a way so that each person has a chance to learn.
