Bay City Central is a great school in a great community. The whole child is the focus. If you are looking for a wonderful high school BCC is the place to go. Mr. Marciniak and the staff have created a family-oriented school so every child can have advantages and support when needed.

I went to Bay City Central from 2013-2017. The teachers I had were incredibly supportive. My teachers were always willing to spend the time to answer questions I had or go over material I was struggling with. They would connect me to resources or let us know about opportunities we could apply for. I feel like the teachers and staff looked out for us and believed in our future. I’m lucky to have had the amazing teachers at Bay City Central.

I attended Bay city central from 2016-2020. I loved all 4 years! All of the teachers and staff as a whole really care about their job and make it their mission to improve every student they see! Very thankful to have attended BCC!

I attended Bay City Central from 2015 - 2019. My entire experience was everything I wanted from high school. I had the opportunity to join sports, clubs, co-op, and BCC ultimately led me to my current career path. The teachers are willing to help out and make sure you succeed in and out of the classroom.

Bay City Central is an incredible school with so much to offer! The staff goes above and beyond to give the students the best highschool experience possible! It is the most diverse school in our county in so many ways, which means, young people who come through Central are familiar with, and friends with, people from many different backgrounds, which best prepares them for the diversity of the real world. The football stadium is like no other…you’ll have to experience that for yourself to understand how special it is! There are many clubs, sports and activities to get involved with at Central, everyone can find something (or many things) of interest to them! Central has the oldest continuous marching band in the state of Michigan! Students who qualify for Advanced Placement classes are able to dual enroll at Delta College and earn college credit. The traditions that continue throughout the years at Central, such as the homecoming week festivities, make Central a place where many fond memories are made! These homecoming festivities include, a Wednesday night bonfire after the freshman football game, a Friday afternoon pep rally where classes compete for the spirit jug, a Friday evening parade down Columbus Ave. before the varsity football game, the marching band making their way around the block to the stadium with an unforgettable drum beat leading into the fight song that gets everyone pumped for game and so much more! I experienced memorable traditions as a student there, and now I get to relive them as my kids spend some of the best years of their lives there!

Central has a completely different atmosphere, from the teachers to the friday night football stadiums filled with the entire community. The entire faculty including Principal Marcinak, the teachers, custodians, lunch ladies, other facility members and more all truly care about the students. They do all they can to motivate them to be the best they can be and show endless amount of support.

Provides an enriched learning environment for students from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Offers a variety of advanced placement courses and does an excellent job of preparing students for college.

Growing up here allowed me to attend this school which was amazing back then but now my children get to attend. The students, staff, and environment make this place the best!! I would not send my kids anywhere else!

Bay City Central is a diverse and welcoming high school! It’s large enough to offer real world preparation and still feel welcoming. The principals and teachers are engaging and enabling of getting students to their best performance. Some highlights I find impressive: - Diverse community and cultures — child learns world does not just look like them- AP and college level classes or ability to take classes at local college if excel. - Numerous staff to help those who fall behind- Athletics/clubs! Central is in a large league with all major sports with role model coaches, others like bowling, golf, and every interest club the students desire!!

The only thing more impressive than BCC's amazing architecture is it's staff! For generations, this high school has helped shape our community's youth into brilliant, productive adults! The success stories are endless- as a 1992 graduate, I realize so many accomplishments in my life have stemmed from the teachers and faculty who always went the extra mile to take care of us. As a local real estate agent, it is with great pride I recommend BCC to families moving in from out of town, or as a school of choice for our long time residents, as well!

This school lacks communication skills. Teachers, councilors and administrators are unresponsive. I withdrew my youngest child and am teaching her with the assistance of a homeschool program. They recently notified me they will not allow my oldest child attend next semester due to inadequate progress. Apparently they don't want to help her excel. I requested assistance at the beginning of the school year when my child began to struggle. I was told we had to wait until the semester ended. The semester ended without any assistance. They recently notified me my child isn't welcome to finish the school year. Welcome to Bay City Central High School. Now leave. There wasn't any behavior issues. The only issue was learning. My child has a learning disability. I requested a meeting to make a 504 plan. I don't think they know what one is. I have been in education for 20 years. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelors degree in education. I am deeply saddened by the integrity of this school system.
