A true gem in Baton Rouge. A majority of the teachers there have a tenure of 20+ years at the school. Due to small class sizes, students are provided with one on one teacher time and thrive in the excellent educational environment provided by Trinity Lutheran. Christianity is at the forefront of every aspect of this wonderful school, from a loving , caring atmosphere, to interpersonal relationships from the playground to the classroom, to exemplifying Christ's love, compassion, and forgiveness. Search far and wide, but a more caring staff you will not find, nor a principal who is more committed to serving the children and families of Baton Rouge as Christ would. My children have absolutely thrived at this school, whereas they may have gotten lost in the shuffle of larger schools. Students are friends with peers from all grade levels, older children look out for the younger, and the whole school is a family. In a world where we need more good humans, this school sure knows how to nurture them.

I have been a part of this school for 8 years. My student started in Pre-K. I would highly recommend. The teachers and staff are very caring. They are helpful, supportive and want what is best for all the students.

We have absolutely loved this wonderful little gem of a school. Our children have developed a love for learning as well as a love for God here. The curriculum is vigorous and challenging. Another bonus is how much the school's teachers go out of their way to make sure my children are getting everything they need educationally and emotionally. They have shown time and time again that they are working with parents as a team to ensure every child that enters the buildings is loved, taught, and feels welcome.

Baton Rouge Lutheran School is such a blessing to our family. An enriched education that encourages the Christian faith was our primary reason for selecting this school. In addition, the teachers work to create a positive learning environment allowing the students to excel while their individual needs are met. Our children have grown in their faith and academics tremendously.

This school isn't a Christian environment. Teacher's are unfair to students, especially the minority. Teacher's are setting students up for failure. The homework given to students is unreal. These are young students, not college adults. Notes are sent home for pettiness. Unreal!

Children attending this school obtain an outstanding education in a christian atmosphere with excellent leadership, teachers, and adult supervision. My children attended this school and now my grandchildren are attending it.

Both our son and daughter attended Baton Rouge Lutheran School when they were children. They are now grown, have college degrees and are involved in their church and their communities. Now, we have two grandsons that are students at BRLS. It is nearly impossible to adequately describe the love and attention given to BRLS children. Having recently chaired the annual fund raiser for the school allowed me a closer view of the daily activities that are ongoing providing an Education Anchored in Christ. The attention to needs of each student, and to their parents is exemplary.

My child moved to this school after attending two other private christian schools in South BR. BRLS is awesome! I wish we had put him here when I first looked at it. The curriculum uses quality materials that are acceptable to me as a conservative christian but that don't deny the children knowledge of subject matter that is necessary to function in the world and on standardized tests (unlike abeka). Teachers and administration are patient with learning differences but still hold the children accountable. Sports and extracurricular activities are available. Technology is incorporated into the curriculum and actively supported rather than just talked about on the website. Fine arts classes are available as well. LImited bus service and a cafeteria are provided. Best of all the tuition is affordable!

I highly recommend this school to other parents. I am a former student and now a parent of a child at BRLS. When it was time for my child to start school, I knew BRLS would be my first choice. I am confident that my child is getting a quality education in a caring and safe environment. The principal, teachers and staff promote a warm and Christ-centered environment that emphasizes respectful communication and behavior, conflict resolution and forgiveness. The staff encourage parental involvement while also encouraging the students to take on age-appropriate responsibilities and independence. The challenging curriculum is driven by the teacher and the students, allowing more time for skills that are more difficult to master. The teachers strive to help each child succeed and truly form a partnership with parents to provide extra help as needed. Graduates are well-prepared for high school and further academic success. Overall, BRLS is a great school that becomes an extension of your family. I highly encourage you to check it out!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school! Not only is the staff of the highest quality, but they are truly invested in each child and want them to succeed. You have the teachers number and are encouraged to keep open lines of communication, you dont find that very often! The quality of the education is also fantastic! These kids go on to attend some of the best high schools in this area! The principal is nothing short of amazing!! His door is always open and he will work with the parents and student to resolve any issues. The facility is nice and clean, as well as safe!!! They encourage parent participation and volunteerism, which makes getting to know your childs classmates and teachers easier! Our family attended this school for 3 years and made a switch to another school that offered more extra ciriculars. We regretted our decision after one semester at the other school and will be returning to BRLS as soon as possible! Because the school is small the staff and other families at this school become your family! The school is filled with wonderful children, staff, and families! You will not be dissapointed! Run, dont walk to get your kids in here!!!
