This is the best school in Bastrop. The principal is new and seems to care a lot about the kids and teachers. There is no where I'd rather take my 3rd grader and 1st grader.

The student count per class is a bit off 14? My child has 24 students in his 3rd grade class. The reason I give them such a low score is the incompetence of the staff that helps with deciding if a child has a learning disability. They are way beyond incompetent, and use cookie cutter solutions (sometimes without even know the child attended the school the previous year.) How can you give a parent of a struggling student a solution to a problem you have not researched or know nothing about? They really need to re-look the procedure for determining eligibility and also quite possibly if a student is transferred take into consideration what the previous school did as interventions. A plus (and the only reason I gave this school two stars instead of 1) the new principal is great, friendly, kind, and helpful...hoping she can pass this along to the staff that have the most impact on children...especially those who struggle due to learning disabilities.

My Daughter attends this school. The faculty is outstanding, and offers help with a smile. I wouldn't change a thing, the teachers are very informative. My child enjoys attending.
