We are so happy to have our children enrolled at Oceancrest and to see them flourish.

This is a very disappointing school. You would think this being a small school would enable a child to avoid bullies and bad teachers but that is not the case. The unwillingness to correct the bullying on the part of the staff when it was going on is intolerable. The lack of emphasis on respecting others rights and allowing a child to has a positive classroom atmosphere is lacking in this school at least at the third grade level but it doesnot stop there. The reading program implemented with the guise of helping students along needs to be monitored and restructured. We personally discovered the lack of attention on the volunteers parts to properly report the accuracy of our childs success ultimately leaving them with below average grading which couldn't have been farther from the truth. We had our child tested elsewhere and they are at honor roll level. It is really a shame that this type of low grade education is being passed off to the children. Public school or not it is the teachers and staffs responsibility to teach and protect the children from a negative and harmful enviornment. We even had items stolen from my child during the course of the school year which I witnessed.
