I rate this school with 5 stars because my overall experience was great. The staff addressed any concerns related to my son's well being and education. They were consistent with the rules and expectations. The assignments and classwork was challenging but not overwhelming. The extra curriculum activities and sports were a bonus. The hours of operation are 7:25am.- 5:00pm. Mon.- Thurs. & Friday 7:25 am.-3:30pm. unless otherwise noted. The hours fully accommodated my work schedule providing before & after care. The teachers treat the students as apart of their families. The teachers are also the coaches on the sports teams which adds additional opportunities for the students to bond and build positive relationships with the staff. I enjoyed my son being in full uniform and not having a monthly tuition payment. There are at least four male teachers to serve as postive role models for the young men. I love that there is a religion class, Foreign Lang. class and skills class. There is also a graduate support to assist the students and staff with high school admission process and services continue after graduation.

The best decision we made was sending my son to S.I.L.A. It prepared my son for college prep high schools, gave him independence, showed him how to be a brother for others. He is a young sir of honor and an academic scholar. The teachers there really love, protect, care about, and teach these young guys well. They expose them to diversity, theatre, nature/nuture, religion etc. You will find a home and family at SILA.
