We couldn't be happier with our experience at [School Name]. From the moment we enrolled our child, we were impressed by the strong emphasis on family engagement and the supportive learning environment the school fosters. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to ensure that parents are actively involved in their children's education. There are regular opportunities for parents to participate in classroom activities, volunteer for events, and attend workshops that help us understand and support our child's learning journey. The school also hosts family nights, where parents and students can engage in fun, educational activities together, strengthening the bond between home and school.Academically, the school offers a well-rounded curriculum that is both challenging and engaging. Our child has shown tremendous growth, not just in core subjects like reading and math, but also in critical thinking and creativity. The teachers are skilled at differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students, ensuring that each child is both supported and challenged at their own level.Overall, TNCS has created a welcoming, inclusive community where both students and families are valued and supported. We highly recommend this school to any family looking for a place where their child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

New Century is more than just a preschool; it's a community that nurtures the holistic development of its students. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a place for my child's formative years. The school has a unique blend of warmth, creativity, and academics that reflects the Montessori philosophy. The teachers are the heart and soul of this institution. Their dedication to understanding each child's individual needs and fostering their innate curiosity is amazing. My child has developed a genuine love for learning, and I attribute this to the hands-on, self-paced, and exploratory nature of the Montessori method employed here.

As a former student of The New Century School I can confidently say that my time there was nothing short of exceptional. As I enter my senior year of high school, I treasure the nurturing environment, dedicated teachers, and engaging curriculum provided me with a strong foundation that had continued to shape my educational journey. From my early years in the preschool program to my transition into elementary school, instilled in me a love for learning, critical thinking skills, and a sense of belonging. Looking back, I am grateful for the positive impact New Century has had on my life.

The involvement of parents enriches the educational journey for every child.

My kids used to go to this school, it was a terrible experience. The teachers didnt really care with what was going on with the kids- theres also alot of teacher turnover and no communication with the parents whatsoever. There is also alot of favoritism for the kids from the teachers, whom themselves are severly lacking as professionals and individuals. And as some others have mentioned, there is sadly racism at the school- even towards some of the teachers (very unfortunate some of the kids are this way, and they are not properly reprimanded or educated). There are alot of mean kids and bullying at this school that my kids witnessed; the teachers were informed but they never did anything. This is school is also not accredited with Montessori, so it really is false advertisement. Please be kind to your family and do not place your kids in a school like this.

New Century is not a well run school. There is a lot of teacher turnover and the curriculum changed as teachers left. The Mandarin and Spanish classes are nice, but the actual learning is low. Most students transferred by the end of the third grade so the upper grades are taught together. There is literally 2-3 students in the ‘middle school.’ The administration became quite confrontational whenever confronted with a problem (there is also constant turnover of the hired administration, while Roberta, one of the owners, maintains the same dysfunctional management style).

After New Century, my daughter has gone on to have an amazing academic career and it is because of her foundation at New Century. The preschool and elementary program is the best around. From an early age, my daughter learned to be organized, responsible, and advocate for herself. We love Montessori which is a stellar program that has been around for ~100 years. As kindergartener, my daughter was doing multiplication in math class. The school atmosphere is kind and loving. We really appreciate the urban setting and how the classes are able to take advantage of the extended campus!

We have had two children at TNCS starting from the earliest entry point - age 2. One is thriving in middle school, and the other is happily advancing through the grades. In our nearly 10 years at the school, we have seen a change in leadership as well faculty arrivals and departures, and through it all the high caliber of education has been unwavering. The school instills students with a love of learning, a strong sense of community, and the ability to value a variety of perspectives. TNCS provides challenges within a nurturing environment that results in the students having the confidence to speak up, to be inquiring, to be able to perform present and speak in front of a group, and to be strong critical thinkers. As parents, we have always felt that access to teachers and administrators was available when needed and that our children were known, celebrated for their strengths, and given constructive feedback on areas for growth. We were impressed and grateful that TNCS adapted quickly to continue supporting students and families during the pandemic. Most importantly, we have valued seeing our children excited about going to school, year after year.

My experience so far is great. Everyone is nice and welcoming. Our family has a lot of common interests with the community. The teachers are amazing, not perfect, but getting there. Whenever there is a problem with the classes, learning, or trouble amongst the students, the faculty quickly move to fix it. My son has done fantastically his four years here, and. I can't even think of leaving.

The school community is empowered and experienced educators and strong leadership. The Head of School is a great leader. The academics are fine. My kids are very happy and love their teachers and friends. The programs and activities developed by the school are a plus to their education. The teachers deserve a great standing ovation!

The experience that we had at this preschool was very negative. Let me start by saying that we hand picked this school due to the language learning. However, within our first month of preschool, many terrible things happened. Our mandarin teacher was unavailable for the first two weeks and there was not a replacement available, the admissions representative quit, we were misled about Covid protocols (pooled testing for 2 year olds?), expected to pay for virtual learning for a 2 year old, and there was very little communication. We had no idea if our child ate his lunch, slept for nap time, and why he was screaming/crying upon pickup for multiple days without answers. When I spoke with the executive director, “Roberta”, she offered little support or reasoning and I was actually dismissed. The actual school may be fine but I DO NOT recommend this for preschool. We withdrew our child after 1 month due to these issues and they are still trying to charge us withdraw fees.

Awful, as someone said earlier, there is racism at this school, and teachers are awful. The teachers do not control the kids at all. Will be pulling the kids out soon.

This school was absolutely horrible to my kids. My child went here for quite a long time and at first, the experience was great. However, something terrible must of happened and a lot of the great teachers left, leaving only really bad ones that don't care about their students at all. The learning experience leaves much to be desired as well, with barely any actual education being done. Bullying is especially bad here according to my kid, with racism(Somehow children are already being racist???) and emotional/physical bullying rampant. The teachers don't even care about it, dealing with exceptionally bad behavior by giving a "slip and an email" to parents, of which the kids definitely trash and delete. This has happened multiple times and yet nothing has changed. It was a right decision to pull my child out of the school lest they be subject to what essentially is a child's prison daycare.

I love the school so much. The students and faculty take their time to make sure bonds are formed and that everyone is getting the help they need. I couldn’t have asked for a better learning experience for my son! This school has the most loving and supportive staff. We love this school and will be forever grateful for the support and opportunities it has provided. My son loves his teachers. The teachers truly care and it shows. We have been with the school for two years now and are planning to stay! Highly recommend New Century School to anyone looking for a thoughtful and caring community.

Awesome school! So happy my kids are part of a community that fosters creativity, learning, and strong character. They understand the need for individual assistance to help each student achieve to the student's highest level of skill and knowledge to prepare them for lifelong learning and how to meet challenges. We have been especially impressed with the safety precautions through the pandemic.

Our experience over the last 2 1/2 years has been so great - from the kind staff to the beautiful environment. TNCS has given my boys such a head start in life and learning. Starting in the pre-primary room, teachers encourage independence and instill a deep love of learning. Everything becomes a learning opportunity and the kids get so excited! It is such a joy to see their eyes light up when they talk about something new they learned at school. I couldn't be happier that we decided to send our children to TNCS and recommend it to other parents looking into education for their kids. By far, TNCS is the best option for education and childcare in Baltimore!

We were a part of the TNCS community from Summer 2018 through Spring 2020. One of the first things that drew us to the school was the multi-lingual curriculum. The language the staff used in communicating with the students, the visual references within the classroom, and the general culture of the school all emphasized the importance of these skills. Our children learned so many key communication skills. The teachers and staff that were always professional, nurturing and well-trained. We knew that our children were always well-cared for and safe. The activities that the teachers created were wonderful! Our children made lasting friendships and we met so many nice families as a result of the community feel that the school fostered. I would highly recommend New Century School to others!

I have two children in the elementary program who started in preschool. The New Century School (TNCS) has been instrumental in helping shape my children into the creative, independent, joyful learners that they are. **TEACHERS**. It is a small school. Some of the core teachers have been there for years and really know my children. Thanks to the teachers -- both long-standing and newer recruits -- my children love math and reading and they are hitting all the marks academically. Pre-COVID (and hopefully in the near future), my children delighted in the teacher-led clubs like Soap Making, Bollywood Dancing, and Cooking. **LEADERSHIP** The leadership through the COVID crisis has been exemplary. Last year, TNCS was up and running with virtual school the same week as the shut-down. As the students returned in-person this fall, the communication and management of the safety issues have been better than in my workplace. **GRATITUDE** Virtual and hybrid learning are not ideal formats, nor is this an ideal time. Above all, I applaud the school's ability to keep our kids engaged in learning through this difficult time. If you drive by, you will likely see the posters of appreciation that so many parents in our community give to this school. Highly recommend.

My daughter has been at TNCS for three years. The school has gone down considerably over the last year. While the curriculum is wonderful, the teaching staff leaves much to be desired. My child’s teachers are not what we were hoping for. During COVID we are able to listen in to the classes through virtual learning and it’s quite off putting how rude and disrespectful and lacking in patience some of these teachers are. I’m wondering if it’s always been that way and now that we have insight into it we can hear/see it. It’s disturbing and unfortunate that the platform they tout is respect and kindness however they do not lead by example. (Second grade). Furthermore, the school is highly unable to tailor any learning for children with even very mild learning/behavioral concerns. This is not what we were hoping for and not what the school portrays itself to be. We will not return and advise caution.

I have had my daughter at the school since she was 3! The focus on language at such a young age is what solidified the choice for us. Beyond language, the community and service component is phenomenal. Emotional intelligence is fostered and the kids at this school are kind and well-rounded. Being able to volunteer at the school is my favourite part. I get to stay involved and share my expertise. Exited they offer middle school now, so I keep my kid here until she moves on to high school.
