My kid got jumped by 11 other kids and left injured on the ground outside for almost an hour and nobody did anything. This school is dangerous. Fo not send your children to this school.

Best School in Bakersfield, ever. The magnet program had me doing exceptionally well in high school courses before middle school. This school really brings out the best in children. Overall it was the best time of my life to date.

After reading the reviews and look at the rating I was very hesitant and concerned about sending my daughter who is in kindergarten to this school. I actually chose to homeschool in the beginning because I couldn't get her into any other school due to deadlines had already passed and this was her homeschool. Finally I decided to put her in and this was a great decision. Her teacher Mrs. B and the principle Mrs. Ashley are caring, encouraging, supportive and just plain out marvelous. I can see how they are trying to improve the school and it's reputation. Being a mother of 4 daughters it's important to pick a good school so that all my daughters can go there and from what I've experience so far, I have found a school for my daughters to go to. I believe the low scores are not a lack of teaching but a lack of parent participation. If you want your child to do well, you have to walk hand and hand with them and their teachers to make sure they do. It's a partnership. Learning starts at home.
