Our family absolutely adores Strickland Christian School. We have been attending since our oldest (now in 6th grade) was in kindergarten. The academic curriculum is far superior to any other schools that we've had experience with or visited. The students, parents, and teachers all know each other and it feels like a big family. Couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Go Eagles!

Our daughter has been attending Strickland Christian School for the past five years, and we are highly satisfied with the institution. Strickland Christian School focuses on delivering quality education without unnecessary frills, ensuring a strong academic foundation. The faculty and management are dedicated, fostering both learning and discipline—essential qualities for students at this stage of their development. We truly appreciate the school's commitment to excellence in education and character building.

WE LOVE STRICKLAND! We have been attending Strickland for 5 years and LOVE it! This school is an answer to prayer! The Christian values, the accelerated curriculum, loving teachers and staff, affordable tuition, athletics programs and salt of the earth families - are all part of what we treasure about this school! We have 3 kids enrolled at Strickland now and they are all THRIVING! My husband and I are so passionate about this school we want to shout it from the rooftops!!!! It’s a hidden gem and we wish more families knew about it!!

Very authentic Christian school for setting a solid faith and academic foundation for the children at their early age. We have sent our kids to this school for 4 years. Kids and parents are both very happy. Highly recommend!

At Strickland Christian School, I am happy that this school partners with parents to teach students to know God through developing academic excellence, establishing a biblical worldview, and shaping Christ-like character. They have an excellent grammar course and my children excel at Saxon mathematics. In addition, I really enjoy their Christmas pageant by K4/K5 and 1st/2nd grade. The Springtime pageant is performed by 3rd/4th. Strickland is committed to honoring God in every facet of education. My children have become fully committed to Lord Jesus Christ and equipped to serve Him for now, and eternity.

We had a great first year in pre-k and kindergarten. The teachers are very caring while growing the children in both academics and character. I love that scripture and prayer are part of daily routine and my kids get structure and advanced academics in a Christian environment.

This school uses corporal punishment and paddles children as young as 5 without informing parents first. This can be due to any number of spurious reasons such as behaving in an “ungodly manner” which is solely determined by the teacher or principal. The research on mental health and education outcomes clearly proves that violence as a form of discipline negatively impacts kids throughout their life and even affects brain development. I’m shocked that a school that claims to be caring and compassionate thinks it’s ok to strike young children.

MY kids are very happy in Strcikland, being transferred from Public school to Strickland wasn't that easy, but teachers were very patient and attentive to my kids needs, and they are now very advance with their Math, and of course, have mastered writing cursive. They treat you like family, it's our safe bubble right there. Teachers and Principals care about our children and their family. We had been thru different trials, but had a lot of support from teachers and Principal. We are so blessed to be part of this school.

I was a student from Kindergarten through 8th grade and now my son is going into 3rd grade. The school provides an excellent, Biblically-based eductaion that prepares children for life.

In our experience, Strickland Christian is the best private Christian school in Austin for teaching strong academics and building Christian character. It is certainly the best value. We now have three children at Strickland. One we moved from an expensive private school where she was struggling with the supposed "new" ways to teach math--she is thriving at Strickland. In grammar school it is all about teaching fundamentals and building a strong foundation. We don't know anyplace that does it better in South Austin.

We are thrilled to have our child in K5 at Strickland and are amazed at all she has learned in only the first few weeks. It is amazing to watch her rise to the challenge of writing in cursive, beginning to read, and memorize math facts. The foundation of phonics, writing, and math achieved in these early years at Strickland is a major factor of our choice of this school. Most of all, we are thankful for a sanctified environment. We choose the Lord above all and our child can learn and read the Bible and grow in the Lord alongside children whose parents love Him and teachers who express Him.

Being unaccredited leaves Strickland Christian School with great liberty to teach Christian principles and to challenge students to their greatest potential. The prekindergarten students all learn to read, and the kindergartners write in cursive. First graders can read from the King James Bible and diagram sentences. Second graders can do long multiplication and long division. Most students take high school math courses in 7th and 8th grades and pass the official exam used by the public schools to test out of that subject. That test is offered by Strickland at the end of the school year. Students who complete the 8th grade at Strickland far surpass most other Texas 12th graders in their English skills; yet tuition prices are far less than other schools. Private high schools are very happy to accept Strickland students because of their superior academic skills, excellent work ethic and Christian character. They normally start them wherever they finished at Strickland. Students normally only work in the hallways when they are behind on assignments so need to be working in the halls while the assignments they are doing are being graded in the classroom. The only drawback to the science program is the lack of a laboratory. This is a problem shared by many Christian elementary school. However, students engage in many experiments and dissections which normally take place in a lab at other schools.

We love Strickland. All 3 of our children have attended Strickland and have flourished academically. Our 20 yr old is now in Regents University, Our 17 yr old son is a senior making straight A's and our 6 year old can read, write in cursive and speak a little Spanish! She loves school and looks forward to going!

I learned a lot that I had never been taught in public school, especially in grammar and math. I also developed a much closer relationship with God, something I am very thankful for. However, they micromanage everything down to the students' length of their hair and paddle students for, what I feel, are a lot of unnecessary reasons. It was also always freezing inside the school, and they wouldn't allow us to put on our coats.

I wholeheartedly endorse Strickland Christian School and I would recommend it for any parent looking for a top notch scholastic program in a Christian environment. I have children currently enrolled in Strickland and a child who graduated Strickland. I believe that the education they receive - at all grade levels - is on par with the best educational programs anywhere, and for the price it is unmatched. In my opinion, Strickland provides outstanding preparation for high school and beyond. Besides great academics, the children learn in a Christian environment among teachers, administrators and parents who love the Lord and desire to pursue Him and glorify Him in all things.

Exceptional learning along with a strong parent/teacher community. I fell in love with Strickland even before the first day of class. The teacher sends a letter to each student welcoming them to Strickland School and let's them know he/she looks foward to meet the students. The parents receive weekly emails on what the students are learning that week and what to expect. Although they are stict in terms of education; the teachers are very caring and provide fun outlets for the kids to enjoy. There are so many activities throughout the year for the kids, you really get a sense of community. I have 2 children attending since k4 and it has been the best decision i've made. The most special thing though, is that the children are taught GODLY principles and they learn bible verses and are in a completey Christian environment. I have a younger child and she too will be going to this school. Oh and the school is very affordable! This school is very special and will prepare all students for a successful Christian and educational future.

Excellent school with strong emphasis on Math and English. Very caring teachers and principal, heavy parent involvement, in a God fearing and loving environment which is hard to find.

"Being unaccredited leaves Strickland Christian School with great liberty to teach Christian principles and to challenge students to their greatest potential." From Teacher Review. My child's class last year had zero science material covered until the last week of school.
