This is an excellent school with great teachers, leadership and offers so many sports, activities and clubs for the kids to participate in.

this school handles bullying and mental illness very seriously, offering counseling which is available in the hallways rather than in a huge confusing office. Most of the teachers were very approachable and even if you were a slacker they would offer help. most students were very nice with the exception of a few rotten apples, but it's much better than other schools I've gone to. This school also has wonderful world language classes that are much better compared to learning online in the SCET program at Jewel.

I attended Herget for for 6th and 7th grade. I moved this year and God do i miss it. I never realized all the awesome times I had here until I left. The score this school gets on this website reflects nothing. Herget is a Diverse, Fun, and productive school. Mrs. Long had a humongous impact on my life and her lessons will provide me more guidance than any other teachers lecture about whatever. Love you and miss you everyone at herget. This place means so much to me.

My daughter attended Herget and recently graduated. Her teachers were generally interested in her academics and there were plenty of after school and extra-curricular activities available for her. The school was recently constructed and is well-maintained. Overall, she had a great experience and we would recommend it.

We have loved our first year at Herget! Our principal Mrs Naleway is wonderul and we have really enjoyed all the teachers. The sixth graders had a very nice introduction to middle school, having been visited by Mrs Naleway in the spring in their fifth grade classrooms, then having a field trip to Herget and being shown around by student council members. Gifted instruction has been very accessible. Band program is challenging but rewarding. My child doesn't participate in sports but her friends do and they all enjoy it. We couldn't have picked a better middle school.
