We came to Fox Valley Montessori school (FVMS) looking for consistency, kindness, and academics. The staff are extremely consistent with no to low turnover. Teachers and staff are happy and in an environment that allows them to grow professionally. A happy and cared for staff will provide the best care to children, hands down. The care and consideration given in a Montessori class also helps parents to grow and learn successful concepts for home. So many parents and professionals we engage with have been shocked by how well our child and there fellow FVMS school mates handle themselves. Children at FVMS are nurtured to find confidence in independence, to ask for help when they need it, and gain solid communication skills and understanding for the world around them. The materials are nature based with an academic flare. The teachers seek to find your child’s natural interest as a gateway for them to learn. Teachers at FVMS are not only certified and have the academia but they are emotionally intelligent and come with a complete package.

I couldn't be happier with my experience. My child has been there for multiple years now, and I foresee us continuing their education all the way thru the highest classroom that they serve (6th grade).

Our 3 year old is loving FVMS as her first away-from-home care experience! Lynor is so easy and welcoming to work with and the teachers are all so kind and considerate of each child they interact with! Our daughter is remarkably more independent after just her first week and a half and is excited to tell us about her day each pick-up! Totally recommend checking out Fox Valley Montessori!

Our experience at FVMS has been absolutely amazing. We've had experience in the toddler, primary, and lower elementary classrooms as well as the afterschool program and summer camp. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about every experience we've had and every teacher we've met. I very highly recommend FVMS if kindness, individuality, and an exceptional education are high on your priority list.

Fox Valley Montessori School is a wonderful experience for families. We began in 2015 in the toddler room with our oldest son; this year our youngest will finish his final year in the primary classroom. We really like the traditional Montessori curriculum, flexibility of enrollment options (full day, half day, before & after care, etc), close-knit community of families and staff, and the communication from school admins. Also, as a working parent who was adverse to traditional child care, I loved that my toddlers were attending an actual SCHOOL. The building is huge and has a fantastic gymnasium. It never felt like a day care (because it isn't one!). We definitely recommend Fox Valley Montessori school!

12/10 would recommend. They teach kindness and community and they actually back it up. My children who are 4 and 5 love going to school every day. The entire staff knows my children by name. The Director and Assistant Director are approachable and helpful. It’s easy to communicate with my kids’ teachers. It’s just such a great place to send your kids. My babies are their babies and I know that in addition to getting a great eduction, my kids are actually cared for.

We are very blessed to have our daughter enrolled at FVMS. She is confident, curious, kind and social. We know that a lot if that has to do with her experiences at FVMS.

We travel a significant distance to send our son to this wonderful school. He is 2 and began going to FVMS at 15 months. As a new mom, I was anxious about leaving him. But, I quickly saw how loving his teachers were and how much he was learning and I was so happy about our choice!

Excellent experience. I highly recommend the Montessori Method and specifically this school. Not all Montessori schools are the same (we tried another). This one knocks it out of the park in all categories.

I have loved everything about this school. My daughter is learning beyond what to learn but how to learn too! She is 4 and has shown strong interest in science. They have many opportunities for her to explore the different sciences.

My toddler attends FVMS, and I have loved watching him blossom. The learning environment is wonderful: tidy, well appointed, and safe. This school feels like a community, and I know the teachers and office staff really know and care for my kiddo.

Both my children went to this school and they loved their teachers and the whole experience. The best part is, the worst time-out they dreaded was " You can't go to school tomorrow". I just loved the warm and loving environment this school provides where learning happens naturally!! Thank you all <3

I didn't believe that there was a Montessori "type," but experiences with my son aptly demonstrate that the learning styles need to fit the child. Fox Valley promotes community learning with 3 grade-levels learning side-by-side. My daughter flourishes in the environment, where my son is too competitive. The fluid structure will encourage creativity and independence, but creates challenges for students who need stronger external structure.

FVMS is a nurturing, supportive school. It's truly magical to enter a room full of children and watch them engage with each other, the teacher, and their work in a quiet, respectful manner - the teachers have complete control of their classrooms, freeing them to teach and guide children through their educational journey. The community is another shining spot at Fox Valley Montessori - the families engage with each other and the staff effectively and in a supportive manner, and are so welcoming to new families.

My kids have been going here for a few years, and I highly recommend them. They were in a Daycare before and during parent conference, it was all about how they performed based on where they should be. They were concerned that one of the kids would not sing twinkle twinkle little star. Not everyone is the same and everyone learns at different rates. FVMS gives the child an environment to grow into there own at their own rate. They learn from experience and making their own mistakes while learning to respect each other. Both my kids also tested for public pre-school and were the highest developed tested. We decided to keep the kids at FVMS because they are doing something right.Quick Story - My kids had a birthday party and invited all their friends. 20+ 3-5 year olds in one room at a store. The place where they had their party said it was the best behaved group that they had ever seen. The kids when done eating their cake even cleaned up after themselves. That should speak volumes on how well FVMS has done.

My son transferred from public to FVMS and he loves it he is a happy 5th grader the care and attention to his education is great. We have nothing but positive experiences.

My child attends FVMS in the preschool program. This is our third preschool, so we have experienced what else is out there. This school has so much to offer for children that really need individual attention. Most preschoolers do and the staff is very aware of that. They were so welcoming of our family being new to the Montessori method and the area. Our questions are always answered and we never feel we can't come to a staff member for anything. Montessori schools have a very particular method and they really want you to feel comfortable understanding that, as well as, knowing you are making the right decision for your child and family. We know that their hearts are in it for the children and that assures us this is a wonderful school!
