What a waste of time and money. Meanest, most punitive administration around, especially to the girls. Mediocre teaching. Convoluted block schedule that frequently changes. Cumbersome service requirements that significantly interfere with academics in semester 2 of junior and senior years. It sure looks like a shiny penny but do not be deceived. What is wrong with the Catholic Church is magnified at Regis.

I am a 2022 graduate and would not recommend the Girls Division. I chose RJ because of its single gender approach, which I thought would lead to better classroom experiences and opportunities based on research on single gender school outcomes. Boy, was I wrong! The Girls Division is a hostile environment with a lot of "mean girls" and a lot of intolerance towards people who are not Catholic. There is no sense of sisterhood at RJ. When I first toured the school as an 8th grader, I felt that the Catholic religion was less of their focus as a Jesuit school, but then they made a sharp turn right to espouse anti-women beliefs during my four years at RJ. I think this is due to the leadership change, which made the school less tolerant of different people / women. If you do not align with the Catholic faith's views on homosexuality and procreation, do not attend RJ. The Girls Division is second class to its Boys Division, which is well known in Denver as many families with girls and boys send their boys to RJ and their girls to St Mary's. The ones that don't typically make that choice based on athletics at RJ, which are better than at SMA. However, there's not much to wax poetic about at RJ -- it was the least welcoming, least fun large high school in Denver. It was such a drag that the happiest part of my high school experience was doing online classes during COVID! And for those thinking that the opportunities coming out of RJ are stellar, think again. Personally, I had a lot of trouble with getting acceptances to competitive universities. There is grade deflation at RJ, and the B+s in Theology classes killed my GPA. Also, be warned about the French track and honors math / science tracks, which are not weighted and are GPA killers. As a person who nailed the ACT, this should serve as a warning to prospective students. This past school year, over 30 teachers left the school due to the handling of the firing of two teachers without cause. Because all teachers they hire must be Catholic and believe in Catholic values (anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage), it is really difficult to attract the best and brightest to the school, which also impacts student GPAs as some teachers aren't remotely qualified to teach and test their subjects and some are just downright unfair. I hated attending RJ and wish I left after semester 1 of my freshman year.

Best description of most students at Regis is entitled mediocrity. Not any better than a good public high school. Only real reason to go here is if you want a Catholic religious education.

Poor experience. I recently graduated and regret that my family spent 70k on a school that was worse socially than a public school. The rules are very strange. Two divisions makes the social experience very weird. The only thing positive I have to say is that the facilities are nice.

Outstanding experience. Best money we have ever spent. Got back much more than tuition in scholarship money for college.

Regis Jesuit offers a culture where you become family. Through service, retreats and classroom a strong community is created.

As a graduate, I would highly recommend Regis Jesuit to those looking to grow and develop as an individual, with peers, and in their relationship with the Lord. I am so grateful for all that Regis has done for me and the opportunities it has made possible for me.

Don't come here unless you want to stay up until 2 AM multiple nights per week dealing with loads of BS busy work that your teachers decided to assign right before finals to help lower your grade even more to make sure that you can't maintain those straight As that are so hard to maintain. Teachers are completely unsympathetic and do not value your opinion. They view themselves as intellectually superior and thus refuse to listen to anything you have to say. Some teachers are nice, but most are more concerned with whether or not your shirt is tucked in than how well you are learning. Brings me to my next point- how terrible and unrefined the dress code is.The jacket policy is ridiculous, and mass dress days are even worse. This school is even more terrible if you are not a Catholic. Most theology class assignment make you align your views with theirs if you want to succeed. I have just spent my entire weekend doing homework, and I am now up on a Sunday night at 1 AM typing this review because I am fed up. Never come here. I will be transferring.

My son is now a sophomore. He LOVES Regis. We live in Littleton and drive 55 minutes every day to go there. He looks forward to going to school every day. Loves his teachers and the academic challenge. He's never made any negative comments about Regis. He said you can be whoever you want to be and everyone excepts you for who you are. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO BULLYING!! The entire faculty is warm, kind, and very welcoming. My son said it's nice to walk down the hall during class periods and the teachers greet him instead of yelling, "Where are you suppose to be!" Everyone is treated with respect and I love the attention my son is getting.

Our daughter fought us in attending Regis and we simply told her she had no choice in the matter. Three years later she has thanked us several times for giving her this amazing opportunity. Regis has not only pushed her into acheiving her full academic potential she has developed into a mature and caring young woman. The school focuses on growing these kids into well rounded caring adults. It's nice to see a school where being smart and accomplished is "cool". We love this school and the community that supports it. All of our children will be attending Regis and we would recommend it to any family.

Not sure how the '02 grad's comments are helpful a decade later, so I will give you a 2013 grad's perspective. Our president recently checked in with this year's freshmen to see how it was going for them. A freshman told him he has not had this much fun in school since kindergarten. I can't argue with that. Make no mistake: the academics are tough. Some of my friends coming from public schools struggled the first year. But most of the teachers are willing to work with you to make sure you stay on top of the work. I was pleasantly surprised as a freshman to experience class without girl drama and required reading that guys might actually be interested in. Well, I still had to read Romeo and Juliet, but I also got to read Guns, Germs and Steel. And we can always go out on the green at lunch to talk to the girls. The retreats and service projects that we do build lifelong friendships. Kairos retreat junior year is life-changing. My friends at other schools can't wait for graduation. Most of my friends at Regis are a little sad to see it coming to an end. But we are encouraged by the brotherhood that remains in the alumni that return; often to teach here.

Could not have asked for a better experience for my sons. Overall, the teachers and administration have blown me away with their passion for educating men and women for others. I've watched bratty/catty boys and girls turn into compassionate, intelligent gentlemen and ladies by their jr. year. The mandatory retreats let them see that the kid that's been annoying them really has overcome great obstacles in life. The freshman are welcomed and cheered for by upper classmen on their first day. They run through the football players tunnel with fanfare at the first game. These kids end with an unbelieveable bond with each other and their teachers. The academics push them beyond what they thought and it's cool to have a high GPA here. The LD support has exceeded our expectations. The football coach prays over his players lockers every week, and talks to them about respecting women. Many different religions are here and all are encouraged to grow in their own faith. When we were deciding whether to spend the money, we sat near the student section at a football game, then near our neighborhood school's student section. That was all we needed to hear. Try it.

Excellent teacher/student interaction. While I often feel too much emphasis is placed on sports at Regis, my children have received an excellent education.
