My daughter loves Vance and played school when she is at home. She turns into her teachers. Who has always shown her love and security!

I could not be happier with Vance! This is our first year at Vance and both of my children are excelling. The teachers go above and beyond to meet the needs of every single child in their classes. The administration runs a tight ship, but is approachable and very friendly. My children feel loved and respected by everyone at Vance!

We love being a part of the Vance community! The admin and teachers are all dedicated and caring, and we have felt very well heard and cared for when we have had concerns around our son's special needs. There is a great open door policy with parents, and this school does a great job of interacting with and taking advantage of opportunities and resources in the surrounding Asheville community.

As parents we have been very pleased with the experience our daughter has had so far at Vance. I feel like the channels of communication are open there and can get any questions that I might have answered quickly. There is such a sense of community at Vance and I hope that continues. The staff is so open and welcomes parent involvement. We've felt very blessed with Principle Allen has a big heart for children and families. I believe she goes out of her job description to give support to families in need or experiencing a family crisis. I don't think we could ask for more, other than getting an increase from the state budget, but that's another story. I've been involved with the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and they work so hard to provide extra educational and fun programs for after school hours. The Vance Peace Garden is a bonus too. The Garden Coordinator puts her heart and soul into that garden to give the kids an outside classroom. I really can't say anything negative, other than a few things on my wish list would be: Language classes taught while they're young: Spanish, French, etc. Overall, I feel our child is getting a high standard education.

I have not one bad thing to say about Vance. They challenge the students, reward good behavior, and encourage the kids. Speaking from personal experience from k-5, it is truly a great school.
