Both of my daughters have attended MAB for the past 3 years, and our experience has been excellent. The staff are mainly long-time employees, and go above and beyond for all the children. The level of social engagement and growth that both my children have experienced at MAB has been remarkable. The level of support and understanding from the staff and management has been among the best we have experienced at any school. This was my first experience with a Montessori school, and it has forever changed the way I look at child development and growth. Highly recommend!

At first we were very excited about sending our child to this school. On the surface it looked very polished. However, after several weeks we realized its not so polished on the inside. The first and most obvious concerns we had were the lack of communication with parents and appearance of complete disorganization among the staff. At fist we thought maybe it was just situational, however, over time we learned it is just how they operate. We attempted to address the lack of communication, but were told it is not their policy to communicate with the parents on a regular basis. When we pushed the issue they became angry and began sending threatening emails regarding our child being ejected from the school. This seems to be their strategy if a parent has questions, comments or concerns with the way things are handled at the school. I feel like they are so overconfident they are arrogant in the way they handle things. In my opinion this is a very bad business practice. It is borderline unprofessional.Beyond the lack of communication they simply do not have enough staff to handle the number of children in the school. A staff member actually told us that. The result of this in general is injuries and lack of care. For example, many times our child would come home with bruises, cuts, severe swelling from bug bites (head to toe) and nothing would ever be said. When we asked about the injuries we were once again told its not their policy to track injuries unless they are severe injuries on the face/head. Even though many times our child would come home with cuts on the face and bumps on the head. There were other bodily injuries which were much more severe and required attention from a doctor. Eventually our patience wore thin. As a result we become frustrated and concerned.I would highly recommend looking elsewhere and not send your child to this school. There are many more concerns and issue’s but I simply don’t have the time or space to write them all. Just know the care and teaching is significantly lacking, especially if you consider the cost. I have not considered cost as part of this review because it does vary in this county. I will say given the quality of care and expertise their prices a bit higher than others we’ve looked at.Since changing schools our child is much happier and we are much more confident in our child's success.

As a counselor/ educator, choosing the right school and “childcare” for my children was one of the most important decisions I made. Many people think the most important decision and financial investment they will make is where their child will go to college. This is simply not true. The early years in a child’s life will lay the foundation for their entire future. It determines who they will become as a person and a learner. MAB partners with parents and takes a holistic approach to learning. They truly love and respect each child as an individual. Whether you are looking for full time “childcare” or half day “preschool”, they are simply experts in education and child development. We couldn’t be happier.

Overall the teachers and education imparted in this school is very good - no complaints at all. However, administrators are another thing here - we decided for our older one to continue Kindergarten in public school for some key reason one being too complacent so the development of personality to be able to handle difficult situations. And given with education being good we decided for our younger one to change his school and join MAB. We did not know:1) Our younger child will be denied admission as we decided not to continue Kindergarten in this school for our older one2) Then they said this is in there hand book which at the time of admission no one ever pointed out that this is a compulsion - like most humans we are guilty of not reading every single thing.I would say there are more Montessori's in the area and go try that and though initially I had recommended kids here but not any more. It is a harassment that this owner family is doing - mental and emotional - I would like to know if this is a true Montessori way?

I highly recommend MAB Montessori school. My family is very blessed to be a part of this school. I am so thankful for the teachers especially in primary classroom as they continue to not only teach excellent academics, but also have a wonderful emphasis on strong character, which is so extremely important. It is a great comfort to me to know that my child is in a safe and peaceful and nourishing environment. The teachers are so kind, compassionate, and understanding. We are so blessed!

Loudoun County and Ashburn have multiple quality school options. We researched them thoroughly and tried several before settling on MAB and sent 3 children there from toddler thru Kindergarten. We, and our children, can't thank the school and staff enough for the lessons they learned while there, both academically and socially. They truly received a head start and are now excelling at another private school. Our kids were very different types of students/learners but they each took away the maximum possible from the Montessori method, and learned to challenge themselves. The administration supported our desire to have our children progress thru the same teachers, which really helped us as Montessori parents. If we had it to do all over again, we wouldn't change a thing about our MAB experience, except to make it longer. We can't be reached thru this site, but we are happy to answer questions...just have the school direct you to parent E.V.

Our son went here for three years. His first teacher was wonderful and we loved her. It was downhill after that. After trying to label him as ADHD (which we have had professionals tell us he is not) and a problem, they essentially stopped teaching him. We got caught in the middle of their own staff issues and they have had a lot of turnover. The family that runs the school doesn't treat their staff or families well. I wouldn't recommend this school.
