Some teachers are plain lazy, they don't give homework so it's hard to see our children's progress or what they are learning at the moment. I'm not a teacher and all I can do is follow the curriculum but how do I do that if there is no communication? I'm beyond frustrated at this point. I can't afford a tutor, private lessons so I rely on a broken system.

There are some great teachers at Beckham who go above and beyond to assist students do their best.....I cannot say the same for others and in my opinion the leadership is not always dependable when it comes to student support with regards to progress and validation of their effort. There needs to be more interaction between leadership and classes to keep teachers doing their best as the final awards ceremony is more of a going through the motions, not necessarily focused on student achievement .A child who does well in Math is given an award for good citizenship ,yet the child who does poorly in Social studies gets an award. When children perform well yet go home with certificates of :good citizenship, perfect attendance (only),that is a gross insult to the child effort. The potential is there for growth but that is impossible with fossilized efforts.
