Wonderful! As a parent and now grandparent with a total of 8 kids passing through the doors of Windsor, I can only say it has the been an extremely positive experience for all!

We've had several kids go through this school... all with very different personalities and academic levels. With each child, Windsor has been able to identify their individual strengths / weaknesses and place them in the proper classroom or program so that they can succeed and flourish! I can't say enough about the teachers and administrative staff who truly care about our kids. We feel very lucky to be living in this friendly community and have our kids attending Windsor, South and Prospect.

Our family is very happy at Windsor. The teachers, staff and administration are receptive and care about the students. There are a multitude of ways for students and parents to get involved and the school has a true community feel. Windsor has an excellent, active PTA. Most importantly, our children are learning and progressing, and they are happy to go to school every day.

Don't sign into the Foundations Program that is a Special Education program "hosted" at only this school in District 25-Arlington Heights. We wish being new into this "recommended" program that by signing on the dotted line in our IEP, that this current administration does not have your child's best interest as far as inclusion and has the bar set so low, that there is a probable no way into the "main stream" classrooms at your home school, where ever that may be. PLEASE be careful and get as much information before considering moving into D25 with an IEP. Do your homework, as I wish someone/anyone would have warned us that there is No Way Out and there is no attempt at even trying to teach "them" at the current grade level. Our 8 year old child is genuinely feeling isolated as being "labeled" and would we had we been warned, we would have Never subjected him or our family unit to be torn apart while two of our children go to their home school and our son is not welcome there but get his own personal taxi ride to another school. It's a horrible back dated program with little or No light to succeed. Be Careful.

This was a WONDERFUL school about five years ago...as each year passes I become more and more disappointed with the administration. There are still some great teachers left at the school, but they don't seem as happy as they used to be...I wonder why. Parents are not encouraged to be involved. The school has a no bully policy, but it only seems to be enforced 1/2 of the time and not with certain children. The split class program is horrible. It divides one group of kids out of the majority their peers for two years. It makes it very difficult to make friends. If you are bullied as my child is in class, there is no way out for two years. It is really too bad because it used to be such a wonderful school with great programs. The common core program is a joke. We will have to consider a private school for the rest of our children left at windsor.
