My child has been attending Sharp for over two years and so far I’ve been multiple teachers leave and a principal who was never reliable and somehow never had time to speak to parents very unprofessional. Now she has been relocated and now the school still has no principal and no nurse and no structure the are teachers good academically but have no compassion for these children. You got staff coming in and out and nobody can stay permanently. As a parent we need to know that there is safety and security in this school but so far it’s just plainly ridiculous at this point.

This school should get higher reviews because this school is better than other schools how many schools have been good this school should get better reviews it deserves it and it does not deserve bad reviews compared to other schools.

Not very good overall. They are rude to the kids. They deny the kids the use of the office phone. They don't pay for it. We as tax payers do. If the child attended school that day. They got their money. So the child has every right to use the office phone to call parents after school. No ifs ands or bots! As well as any other things such as bathrooms.

This is the worst school my son has ever attended. If you are unfortunate enough to live near this school, apply for echoices. The principal is terrible and does an awful job running the school. They focus on attendance rather than academics and because of this kids constantly come to school sick and spread their germs. They have no art program. I was told they do art in the classroom but that is a lie. They boast about having a garden that has been dead for the 3 years my son has attended. The principal and staff are lazy. The principal needs to be replaced.

Does not matter in what situation the staff is in whether they have not enough help, prinicipal and teachers. If your going to commit to working with these kids then you are falling responsible. Its dissapointing to say that the principal is not supportive. The teacher also. If you dont care for these kids then why commit and be around them. Its not there fault. The energy and atmosphere in this school is negative and there is so much hostility.

My daughter just started kindergarten, not sure if I like this school. I will give it a try.

Ditto on the office staff. When I walk in the the office I have to address the staff, trying to make eye contact and get there attention is a task. My child attended a couple of years ago. I hope they have made changes since my daughter has left. The office staff is an idicator of the atmoshere for the entire school, its all about first impressions. My advise, how about setting an example for the kids.

I agree with the comment regarding the office staff! They are rude and they're only nice when they want! The offfice needs a change of staff and principal as well!

Office staff is horrible, they are not freindly, they are rude, seemed bothered by parents asking them any kind of questions. I attended Sharp Avenue Elementary in the 80's from k-6 and it is very upsetting to see how the people who make the first impression on parents and or visitors are bad mannered and rude. I remember how caring and loving the Office staff was to everyone when I attended there. SO SAD SAD SAD. Hope you Ladies are replaced SOON.
