Im saying it how it is, This school sucks. the teachers are not teaching whats in the grade level and tend to teach below the grade level, the schools food leaves you with food poisoning, even the cucumbers give you food poisoning. There are kids who bully there and i cannot say the amount of times i have reported it and the school did not do anything, i never felt safe at that school and the overall experience sucked.

My son has autism and he was stabbed by another student and they tried to blame my child for not communicating with them? They knew he would as I told them to please watch as he isn't able to always communicate these issues... sure enough. He was stabbed. And they did nothing.

The students at this school are a nightmare, and theres nothing the staff can do because of " protected laws" DO NOT ENROLL here if you can keep from it, your kids will be bullied, harrassed, targeted etc.... and nothing is done to correct this. Granted the district is in a systemic low income area, and therefore you have the parenting skills in that mindset, not ALL but most. I feel like 80% of the the apple valley schools have taken a major downturn sincde we moved here 5 years ago, to the point of considering leaving the county altogether...... My oldest, and former student was threatened by a proctor physically. My youngest does not feel safe here. ALthough I love some of the teachers, it is a hopeless situation.....

As a mother of three students at this school, I wish there were other options for us. My 8th grader is a straight-A student and every day he comes home and tells me horror stories about the behavior and disrespect of kids. What I have a problem with is how these kids get away with bullying, disruption in the class, and everything else that happens here. A few months ago, there was a fight on campus and one of the proctors did nothing to resolve the issue. Instead, he called a different proctor while the kid was getting his head bashed against a wall. If you have a choice to move your kids from this school I would highly recommend you do so! Thank goodness we are moving away from this school district and state in the upcoming months, or else homeschooling my children would be a much better option.

even though i aint a current student, i have been here before and the toxicity in the kids are off the charts. Barely anyone in sandia has respect and staff PLUS principal does nothing about bullying. In my perspective the staff is probably there for the money. The only good teachers were, Mrs yoo, Mr Hutfilter, and Mrs Edgley. They were the best in the school.

School has more of an agricultural and animal science approach as opposed to the core learning fundamentals. This is evident in their well below average scores academically. The staff is emotionally all over the map and the next time I see the older blond haired office worker talk to the children the way she does I will have no regrets taking her to task in front of others. She has no business dealing with children if she cannot exercise patience with them.

If mediocrity is good enough for you, here's your school. My son could have really used some additional help with his reading, however because he read at just a smidge below standard reading level, I couldn't get him any form of help. Not even after school tutoring. I was told he had to be "A lot worse" --exact words. I was unaware students needed to be A LOT worse! The staff members in the office are about as friendly as prison guards. The ONE STAR rating is for my youngest sons teacher. She's great! Other than my sons teacher, I would say if you're looking for mediocre, lots of bullying, and unfriendly staff, Sandia's your school! Happy to say, my children are going back to their old school!
